Charles Hirschhorn is no longer at the controls of Comcast Corp.-owned G4, the cable channel he founded three years ago. The parent company of the struggling network has replaced its CEO and founder with Neil Tiles, former executive vp marketing at DirecTV, who already is on the job. Another executive within the company, senior vp distribution and advertising sales Dale Hopkins, has been promoted to chief operating officer of G4. Unknown is whether Hirschhorn is under consideration for another post at Comcast or has parted ways with the company. Comcast did not respond to inquiries for comment. Hirschhorn could not be reached for comment.
