The hit horror movie Ouija is to get a sequel - and it's arriving next year...
Horror movie Ouija was a sizeable success for Universal last summer, with the $5m movie - directed by Stiles White - snaring $50m at the Us box office, and the same again outside of America. So with $100m in the bank, most of that profit, you won't be surprised to hear that a follow up is on the way.
It's been confirmed that Ouija 2 is heading to cinemas in October 2016. Specifically, we can expect the new film on October 21st 2016, and it will be written once again by Mike Flanagan and Jeff Howard.
It's unclear yet who will be directing the movie, but producers Michael Bay, Brad Fuller, Andrew Form, Jason Blum, Brian Goldner and Stephen Davies are back.
More on Ouija 2 as we hear it...

Last week, I was given the unique opportunity to visit DisneyToon Studios, the division of Disney Animation that is responsible for the increasingly wonderful "Tinker Bell" and "Planes" movies. (Their building is right across the street from Disney Television Animation and it took every iota of my self-control not to dash across the walkway and start asking questions about "Gravity Falls" and "Wander Over Yonder.")
Essentially, the folks at DisneyToon Studios gave us a tour of Piston Peak National Park, the huge park at the center of "Planes: Fire & Rescue" (and, if you missed the movie, you really should make up for that -- it's out on DVD, Blu-ray, and Disney Movies Anywhere on November 4th).

Dusty Crophopper is back for a brand new adventure, and this time it’s a blockbuster. Faced with the dual threats of an early end to his racing career and Propwash Junction’s closure, Dusty and his ailing torque gauge fly west to Piston Peak National Park to train as a firefighter. Thunderclouds recall military aircraft as towns and valleys with ingenious engine details unfurl below him and beckon him on his way. Toby Wilson and team’s sumptuous animation is as characterful and joyous as the tiny craft ought to be. Drawing heavily on Top Gun themes of arrogance, loss and redemption, this summer holiday release aims high but stalls before breaking cloud cover.
On arrival at the Air Attack Base Dusty (Dane Cook) tries his best to assimilate with the team. However, the resentment of his trainer Blade Ranger (Ed Harris sounding pleasingly like Billy Bob Thornton) coupled...

Director: Mike Flanagan; Screenwriters: Mike Flanagan, Jeff Howard; Starring: Karen Gillan, Brenton Thwaites, Katee Sackhoff, Rory Cochrane; Running time: 103 mins; Certificate: 15
A haunted mirror is the cause for much flapping about in a horror movie that is only marginally more creepy than Alice Through the Looking Glass. Doctor Who's Karen Gillan does an eerily good American accent, though, and her role in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy is confirmation that her star is on the rise. It's just a pity she's saddled with such an awful character in this tepid chiller.
Kaylie is entirely too blasé after tracking down the antique mirror that she believes was responsible for a bloodbath at her childhood home. Her brother Tim (a stoned-looking Brenton Thwaites, recently seen in Maleficent) is finally released from detention after serving 11 years for blowing dad's brains out and he appears to have put a mental block on 'what really happened'.

With the Cars spin-off about to take off, we chatted to screenwriter Jeff Howard at DisneyToons Studios about writing a movie for John Lasseter, how he develops ideas, and taking on research trips around America, watching plane shows, and the famous Reno Air Races... "The beginnings of the project were really Klay Hall and John Lasseter talking about doing a planes film in the world of Cars," explains Jeff Howard, the Californian scriptwriter tasked with coming up with a story for the forthcoming Planes. "And off of that idea we sat around in a room for a day just brainstorming ideas.

No, it's not a serial killer's bucket list.
The annual Blood List represents the best dark genre screenplays in Hollywood that have yet to be made. It’s a great way to support community and get word out about all the original films that should be on Hollywood’s radar.
Here’s how it works straight from the source:
The Blood List was created in 2009 to bring attention to darker, genre unproduced screenplays in Hollywood. A calendar year for a script to be considered for the list is from October 31st to October 31st. Voting is done by 100 industry insiders. The list is known as the 'Top horror screenplays list' but also has scripts in the sci fi, fantasy, thriller, and dark comedy space as well.
Genres included on the list are: Horror, thriller, sci-fi, dark drama, and dark comedies. This year 117 feature executives voted. Each executive chose their top...
