At the time of her death, she was known as Polly Alpert.
Chose to live in Pennsylvania for she felt it exemplified the beauty of America.
She was the mother of four children. She also had six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1946.
Following a Jewish funeral service at the Temple Israel Synagogue she was laid to rest at Washburn Street Cemetery in Scranton, PA.
She took her surname in honor of silent film diva
