NCIS star Mark Harmon leaving the franchise was a shock to many. A few fans felt that Harmon and his character Leroy Gibbs meant too much to the show for him to ever walk away. Including Michael Weatherly.

NCIS has teased fans with Harmon leaving the show a few times. The series has had a few cliffhangers where the fate of Harmon’s Leroy Gibbs is up in the air. However, no one truly believed that Gibbs would end up dying, or that Harmon would leave the show as a result. Especially Weatherly. When Harmon’s Leroy Gibbs ended up in a life-or-death situation, Weatherly had no doubts that the character would be back.

NCIS fans can’t wait to hear more about season 21 — but we’ll be missing one of the most significant characters from the show. David McCallum played medical examiner Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard for 20 seasons, even outlasting Mark Harmon as Leroy Jethro Gibbs. Before McCallum was cast in the series, serious disagreements existed about him joining the crew. Here’s what a series director said about threatening to cancel NCIS over McCallum.
‘NCIS’ creators were ready to cancel the show if Ducky actor David McCallum wasn’t cast
NCIS fans can’t imagine the series without David McCallum playing Ducky Mallard. While it doesn’t seem like anyone else could play the medical examiner-turned-historian, there was a lot of disagreement regarding McCallum’s casting at the start of the series.
Past NCIS director James Whitmore Jr. recounted the drama to The Hollywood Reporter. “When they cast David McCallum as Ducky,...

Cruising the edge of sets like a shark in shallow water, still photographer Ron P. Jaffe has spent a career using his stealthiness to capture the perfect shot. Sharing tales from times past as he sits in the serenity of his Playa del Rey home, he describes taking pictures on many of the crime movies, comedies and dramatic television series made in Hollywood during the past 30 years.
As a “stillman” — industry jargon for his profession — he has photographed everything from actors and on-set action to sets and props, and even provided the pictures for 30-foot-wide promotional billboards.
Jaffe was raised in Montgomery, Ala., after World War II. As a schoolkid, his grades were average, but he enjoyed the high school darkroom and worked on yearbook photography. He qualified for prelaw at Cal State Los Angeles in 1969 but chose to attend UCLA instead. He quit after the first day of lectures,...

In just a few short weeks we’ll all be sitting down to catch the Season 7 finale of How I Met Your Mother, “The Magician’s Code.” For the first time in Himym history, the finale will be an hour long, giving it enough time to properly deal with the birth of Lily and Marshall’s first child and the mysterious identity of Barney’s future wife, while throwing in something for Ted and Robin to do as well. I know it may seem odd to focus so much on Barney and his future, but it’s easy to forget that Ted’s future is directly tied to Barney’s since it is at his wedding that Ted meets the titular mother.
In the images for “The Magician’s Code,” which will air May 14th, you can see Lily at the hospital giving birth, with Ted and Robin by her side.

“No Pressure” How I Met Your Mother Promo Images
It’s a little bit of a ways away, but CBS would like us to have a look at what’s to come in the How I Met Your Mother episode titled “No Pressure,” airing February 20th. As has been the unofficial theme of Season 7, Himym brings up the past, specifically the Season 2 episode “Something Blue.” Long time fans should remember that as the episode we found out Ted and Robin broke up. If you were paying attention you’ll recall they had a conversation over where they thought they saw themselves in five years.
Well, for those keeping count at home, Season 2 was five years ago, so have Ted and Robin achieved their goals? Heck no. “No Pressure” sees Ted and Robin sit back down and talk about their lives yet again, only instead of breaking up, Ted seeks to get back together with Robin.

Chicago – Laugh tracks are a dying breed. Think of classic, full-throttle laugh tracks from “The Jeffersons,” “The Beverly Hillbillies” and “Full House.” Today, though some major shows feature canned laughter, it has been much-pointed out that some of the best comedies on TV, by definition, are auspiciously missing a laugh track—think “Modern Family,” “The Office,” and “30 Rock,” to name a few.
Television Rating: 1.5/5.0
If the Internet naysayers are right, if a sitcom that uses a laugh track is the TV equivalent of the lady who protests too much, then that could be one explanation why CBS’s “$#*! My Dad Says” is not too funny. “$#*!” features some of the loudest canned laughter heard on TV in a while, and if the behind-the-scenes stories emerging from the production are any indication, the producers have inserted the boisterous inanimate laughter to drown out the bad buzz. Parent protests over an indecent title...

Let me first say that I wasn’t overly impressed with the cliffhanger ending from last season. I think the show has done better with finales in the past, so I went into the season six premiere of Criminal Minds hoping that the conclusion would be stronger than the set up. Season five ended with with “Our Darkest Hour,” in which a longtime serial killer came back to Los Angeles during rolling blackouts which he used to his killer advantage. He was able to kidnap Ellie Spicer, daughter of Detective Matt Spicer, who just so happened to be the child involved in his first murder. He killed Spicer’s parents and allowed him to live and believed he was the reason Spicer became an officer. Tonight’s conclusion was entitled “The Longest Night” and it was written and directed by Cm veteran Edward Allen Bernero.

Chicago – CBS announced their fall schedule today. While fans of canceled “Accidentally on Purpose,” “Cold Case,” “Gary Unmarried,” “Numb3rs,” “The Ghost Whisperer,” and “The New Adventures of Old Christine” may disagree, the big TV news of the week is that several of the top network’s biggest shows are moving. “Survivor” jumps to Wednesday nights, “The Big Bang Theory” moves to Thursdays, “CSI: NY” slides to Fridays, and “CSI: Miami” now goes down on Sundays.
As far as on-the-bubble renewals are concerned, CBS saved “Rules of Engagement” and “Medium”. The rest of their renewals were pretty obvious choices as the network continues to air many of the biggest hits on TV including the #1 drama (“NCIS”), #1 comedy (“Two and a Half Men”), #1 new series (“Undercover Boss”), #1 news magazine (“60 Minutes”), #1 new drama (“NCIS: Los Angeles”), and #1 scripted series for the 18-49 and 25-54 demos (“The Big Bang Theory”).

In Wednesday's episode (10/9c, CBS), Kanakaredes and her character will have to live up to that moniker...

CSI: NY is all new on January 13 and D.B. Sweeney will be making a guest appearance. I haven't watched something with him for a long time, but he's in one of my favorite cheesy older movies, The Cutting Edge. CBS has released photos and a short synopsis for the episode, which you can view below.
When The CSIs Investigate A Brutal Stabbing, They Discover That Evidence At The Crime Scene Was Planted Which Pits Them Against A Trusted Colleague, On "CSI: NY," Wednesday, Jan. 13
