- When I focus on my goals, I am reminded of Michaelangelo's take on sculpture: that he would remove all the marble that is not part of the statue. Similarly, I have worked on myself over the decades to remove all the unnecessary bits that obscure the true image I wish to present.
What mainly drives me to pursue acting is admittedly envy or jealousy, at times. When I watch a movie actor in a role and am deeply moved by the performance, I feel a yearning, a jealousy, and I strive to have that same chance to move and make an impact on the audience. The goal I reach for is that my portrayals be as memorable.
