Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins has lived, dare we say it, a semi-charmed life. But here’s something he’s never actually done: interact, or even meet, Tommy Lee and the rest of Mötley Crüe — despite what viewers see on this week’s episode of Hulu’s “Pam & Tommy.”
In the show’s fifth episode, “Uncle Jim and Aunt Susie in Duluth,” Lee (Sebastian Stan) and his Crüe bandmates show up at a recording studio to rehearse. It’s 1996, and Mötley Crüe (and hair metal in general) has been overtaken in popularity by alternative rock — yet the Crüe is still taken aback when they’re assigned to the smaller studio B. Who’s taking the bigger room, the one the rockers are used to? Some new band named Third Eye Blind.
Lee’s not happy, and he barges into Studio A. “Hey, who the fuck are you guys?...

The 2021 Tribeca Festival, presented by AT&T, has today unveiled its short film lineup, which includes 46 films from 20 countries worldwide, 70 percent of which are world premieres. The short films will be presented in eight programs: two documentaries, two narratives, two hybrids (including both narrative and documentary), one animation, and one New York shorts program. Additionally, the festival will feature a special curated out-of-competition Juneteenth program and a live performance by Blondie, following the screening of the short film “Blondie: Vivir En La Habana.”
As the festival announced late last month, this year’s event will “transform prominent locations into an expansive 12-day multi-screen outdoor celebration” held June 9 to 20, and is believed to be first major North American film festival to mount such an in-person event. Director Jon M. Chu’s long-awaited “In the Heights,” adapted from Lin-Manuel Miranda’s Tony Award-winning Broadway musical, will open the 20th anniversary edition of Tribeca...

Nineties band Eve 6 has just one question for the various celebrities of Twitter: “Do you like the heart in a blender song?” Frontman Max Collins is referring, of course, to the band’s 1998 hit, “Inside Out,” which he also admits he was a virgin at the time of writing — despite the saucy “Tie Me To The Bedpost” lyric.

Charlize Theron might be a new mom, but she does not have a new man. At least not in Eric Stonestreet.
A report written by the Daily Mail claimed that Theron, 37, had fallen for "Modern Family" actor Stonestreet.

Every big cultural movement needs a theme song, and '90s alt-rockers Third Eye Blind have taken it upon themselves to supply the disgruntled 99 percent with a tune inspired by Occupy Wall Street. The track, entitled "If There Ever Was a Time," was written by frontman Stephan Jenkins in support of the movement.
"I hope it achieves its goals of starting new politics that are counter to the trend towards oligarchy that's been increasingly foisted on us these last few years," Jenkins says in a press release on the band's website.
"I think college students are going to come to terms with the unfairness of student loans, the hallowing out of jobs from finance based capitalism, and the depletion of public wealth," he continues. "When you take money out of politics, which is what Occupy Wall Street is about for me, you reverse these trends. This song is meant to encourage their participation.

"As I said, I'm a fan of your band," Gaskarth told Jenkins, who has cited Third Eye Blind as one of his major influences, "and I got to come out and sing a song with you guys.

The eclectic traveling carnival that is the Bamboozle Roadshow came to an end over the weekend in Boston, but the "bro"-bonds that were formed on tour will go on. MTV News followed the action all week, catching up with all of the acts, from pop-punkers Boys Like Girls and Good Charlotte to electro-funksters Lmfao and 3Oh!3.
While the acts were diverse, one common theme among the musicians was their near-unanimous tendency to geek out over fellow headliners Third Eye Blind, with many calling the band one of the biggest influences on the current generation of rock groups.

All Time Low are having a pretty good summer. The boys from Baltimore have been spending the last month on the Bamboozle Roadshow, where they've met some of their idols, gotten love from their legions of fans and, as the band puts it, done a lot of "bro-in' down."
Atl took a break from the sweltering heat at the Philadelphia stop of the Roadshow last Sunday to talk to MTV News about the experience of traveling cross-country with Boys Like Girls, Lmfao, Good Charlotte, Simple Plan and Third Eye Blind (among many others). "It's been great, so much fun," lead singer Alex Gaskarth gushed. "All the bands have been hanging out, bro-in' down, as they say."

Vanessa Carlton just pulled an Anna Paquin. Between songs during her set at the Nashville Pride Festival on Saturday, the "Thousand Miles" singer made a big announcement to 18,000 of her closest pals. "I've never said this before, but I am a proud bisexual woman," she proclaimed. Nashville Pride is a celebration of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender community and given that she was the main headliner, it was hardly shocking that the 29-year-old singer-songwriter would drop the news. Carlton has previously dated the likes of John Mayer and Third Eye Blind frontman Stephan Jenkins.

Think back to every awesome/romantic/borderline-insane thing you've ever done during the summer. Chances are, there was music playing when you did it. And it was probably playing very, very loudly.
That's because, perhaps more than any other time of the year, summer is practically made for music. It's when we pump up, strip down, make terrible decisions and basically have the times of our lives. And, somewhat fittingly, music is always there with us. It's the soundtrack to our every hookup, breakdown and tanning mishap. It's what's in the air at the beach, the time-share or the club (well, either that or Axe body spray). It's part of our memories, along with that terrible tattoo you got down in Panama City.

Woo, woo, woo! TMZ has footage of Charlize Theron making out with Keanu Reeves on the street after a delicious dinner together! Is it possible that the former co-stars of 1997’s Devil’s Advocate and 2001’s Sweet November are enjoying a belated romance? Has he been politely waiting for relationships with Stephan Jenkins and Stuart Townsend to end so he could swoop down and declare his eternal devotion? Was his shirt off when he did it? “More evidence—when they hugged each other goodbye, Charlize’s hands are clearly Under Keanu’S Jacket!” Omg! That’s totally the universal sign of a sexual relationship! What an update!
Granted, these two have acted intimately for years at social events and they clearly were aware of the cameras during their clinch. If they were secretly banging, they probably wouldn’t be hugging at all. But if Charlize and Keanu want to come...

"I wanted to create a video that actually represented Third Eye Blind," says Stephan Jenkins, lead singer and songwriter for the group (and famous Punk'd guest). "The song is full angry, bold and dirty and so are we!" Yup, the guy who fronted the band that gave us huge hits like "Semi-Charmed Life," "How's It Going To Be," "Jumper" and "Never Let You Go" has just directed/pieced together a new, innovative video for the group that utilizes hundreds of photos to mimic stop-motion production. Like some of the best Third Eye Blind tracks, the song has political implications, and its promo clip now debuts on The Huffington Post. So here's your chance to be the first kid on your block to experience all four minutes of the angry, bold and dirty that is "Don't Believe A Word"... Third Eye Blind...

Being a Jim Carrey rib-tickler with a perky “say yes to life” message, even the hardest of hearts would have a tough time feeling grumpy having watched Yes Man. This chirpy comedy skirts around gloomy issues such as homelessness, depression and unemployment with a buoyant skip in its skip even making the grim subject of suicide a cinematic moment to treasure. As an unknown man (played by Puerto Rican actor Luis Guzmán) is spotted on the ledge of a high building preparing to jump, Carrey’s Carl Allen quickly rushes to join him at a nearby window and encourages him not to. But how can Carl effectively communicate his message? None other than making use of his recent guitar lessons and serenade the jumper with the Third Eye Blind song “Jumper” (get your copy here) on a Epiphone Hummingbird acoustic guitar – this week’s gadget spot of the week.
