Rob Jay (aka Robert Jerald) was born and raised in South Central Los
Angeles, and joined the writing staff of Rondor music at the age of 19.
His first big break came when the R&B group "Jade" recorded "Everyday
Of The Week" for the Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack. Robert co-wrote
and co-produced the song which went on to be a top 10 pop single with
Antonia Armato. Colors Straight Up was his first contribution to a film
score, which also went on to receive a nomination for an Academy award.
Rob has also recorded music with various artist and producers such as
David Foster, Toni Braxton, Pebbles, Tatayana Ali, Wanya Morris, Nancy
Wilson, Herb Alpert and Tamia. He also scored music for several TV
shows with Spelling Entertainment, such as Beverly Hills 90210, and
Melrose Place.
