New Orleans -- Thousands turned out Friday to see New Orleans rapper Mystikal perform one last time before returning to jail on a probation violation.
The rapper, whose real name is Michael Tyler, was released from a Louisiana prison in 2010 after serving six years for sexual battery and extortion. He returns to jail May 14 following a February arrest on a misdemeanor charge of domestic abuse battery.
In April, the rapper's attorney, Roy Maughan Jr., said Tyler and the victim in the domestic battery case were longtime domestic partners.
The rapper alluded to his legal problems on stage Friday
"I'm going through some things, but it's gonna be all right," Mystikal said to cheering fans. "Fellas if you get into it with your girl, just walk away. Me? I'm gonna run."
He also shouted: "Eighty-one days and I will be back," referring to the length of his pending jail term.

The Master has found his Mistress.
Helen Mirren will be playing Alma Rainville, the wife of world-renowned filmmaker Alfred Hitchcock, in the upcoming biography film that we really hope ends up getting a better title, "Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of 'Psycho,'" according to Heat Vision.
Mirren will be playing the better half of Anthony Hopkins' Hitchcock, with Sacha Gervasi ("Anvil! The Story of Anvil") set to direct. News of Mirren's casting comes with the announcement that the long-in-development project has moved from Paramount to Fox Searchlight.
"Alfred Hitchcock and the Making of 'Psycho'" (maybe with the studio change will also come a new title, 'cause that one really has to go) tracks how Hitchcock had to raise the funding for his low-budget horror movie himself after no studio would touch it. The film, written by John McLaughlin ("Black Swan") from the book by Stephen Rebello, also...

At Home with Julia’s executive producer, Rick Kalowski is confident, his show will remain relevant for its full four week run on ABC1. Despite calls for Gillard to step down as Prime Minister after the mess of the ‘Malaysian solution’ Kalowski told Encore, “It would be annoying to see the Pm replaced in the next four weeks, but I don’t see it happening.”
The show, a political satire dressed up as a household sitcom sends up politicians but also looks at the way politics interferes with politician’s private lives. “It’s not a mean-spirited show,” said Kalowski, “but we do have a go at politicians and media reps, but above all it’s got a fun tone, that’s the intention.”
Some media and political commentators have suggested it’s disrespectful, but Kalowski is quick to point out, they aren’t taking sides, lampooning Tony Abbott, Bob Katter,...

The ABC’s latest political satire, At Home With Julia, wraps today. The series, which invites Australians into The Lodge and life of Prime Minister Gillard (Amanda Bishop) and her partner Tim Mathieson (Phil Lloyd) is set to air on ABC1 on Wednesday 7 September, 9.30pm.
The 4×30 minute series finds the Prime Minister and Mathieson struggling with alone time as they get harrassed by Bob Katter, live in fear of terrorist attacks and receive unsolicited advice from Paul Keating.
In a statement, Executive Producer/co-writer Rick Kalowski said, “We can’t believe the quality of the cast we got. Or how little we were able to pay them.”
With a cast of sketch and stage comedians, the production is set to spoof Kevin Rudd (Paul McCarthy), Paul Keating and Tony Jones (both played by Jonathon Biggins), Wayne Swan (Alan Dukes) Tony Abbott (Nicholas Cassim), Bob Katter (Drew Forsythe), and Rob Oakeshott...
