August 10, 2010: Indian government is planning to launch a quiz programme on television with an aim to educate the rural people about the welfare programmes intended for them. The show will be like ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’, the quiz show hosted by Amitabh Bachchan.
C. P. Joshi, the Union Minister for Rural Development, said, “ We are still in the process of thinking about launching this quiz show for rural India, which will be on the lines of Kbc. This can be a good platform to increase awareness among the rural people”.
According to an official, the programme is tentatively titled ‘Sawal Ek Karor.
