After almost a year of radio silence, we have some good news to report about Leverage: Redemption.
The fan-favorite reboot has been renewed for a third season, which is set to air in 2024.
There is a significant change on the horizon for the series.
It will no longer be a Freevee original and has been shifted to Prime Video for the next season.
No reason for the change in streaming home has been given, but it's probably thanks to the devoted audience that has embraced the show since it premiered in July 2021.
Reboots are tricky to pull off, with many imploding once the initial curiosity factor wears off.
But fans have connected with this revamped series, thanks to its featuring many franchise veterans and new characters to tell a different story.

“Leverage: Redemption” has been renewed for Season 3, but will be changing platforms. The first two seasons aired on Amazon’s Freevee, but Season 3 will debut on sister streamer Prime Video in 2024 instead.
The move is significant, as “Leverage: Redemption,” a revival of the TNT series “Leverage,” was one of the major scripted titles available on Freevee. The show was ordered to series in 2020, when Freevee was still branded as IMDb TV. Freevee’s biggest scripted series at present is “Bosch: Legacy,” while a spinoff of that show was recently ordered at Prime Video as well.
The first two seasons of “Leverage: Redemption” are currently available to stream on Freevee, as is “Leverage” via Electric Entertainment’s Fast Channel and on-demand.

[This interview was conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers from all of Almost Paradise Season 2.] “Let’s go steal…” Those are three words that every Leverage fan knows well but has never heard come out of Christian Kane‘s mouth — until his other Freevee series, Almost Paradise. In Season 2 (all 10 episodes of which are now available to stream), there are a few things that will be very familiar to Leverage (and Redemption) fans, from flashbacks with the stars in different roles to a casino heist, especially considering the common threads of Kane and executive producer Dean Devlin. “We didn’t really try to remind people of Leverage. We actually stole from Leverage,” Kane told TV Insider with a laugh. “Dean Devlin got his hands on that one, and he said, ‘Nope, this is Leverage, and we’re just going to make it Leverage.‘ And it was so much fun.” The star then went ...

Christian Kane has played essentially the same character in four delightful light crime series. In “Leverage” and its successor, “Leverage: Redemption,” he was Elliot. In “The Librarians,” he was Jake. In this incarnation, “Almost Paradise: Season 2,” he’s Alex. All have some sort of military or intelligence background to prepare them for the current undertakings. Each time Kane’s character is smarter than he looks, does his thing with a grim sense of humor, and is tougher than all he must oppose. Underneath the surface of surly, he’s noble, loyal to his colleagues, and hell-bent on helping whoever needs it. He’s always reluctant to use violence but in just about every episode of each, he has to. And does it well. 180 times, collectively. Yet even after all those cloned outings,...

Busting into a secret club is never easy, especially for Alex Walker (Christian Kane) and Ernesto Alamares (Arthur Acuña) in Amazon Freevee’s series Almost Paradise Season 2.
Ernesto thinks he’s found a way to infiltrate a secret club, but is he really being sly, or does his plan have flaws – especially when he and Alex are being billed as an “act.”
In an exclusive clip of an upcoming episode, Ernesto confidently says he, Alex, and Kai Mendoza (Samantha Richelle) were invited to the club. Presenting a special chip seems to soften the defensive club owner – but does it?

Almost Paradise fans, get ready for a summer with extra blessings, because season 2 is just around the corner! In season two, Alex will be questioning his place on the island, but with the help of his trusted friends, he will discover a renewed sense of family in paradise!
“There’s never been an American series filmed in the Philippines,” star Kane told Tell-Tale TV. “I feel like we know what Korea looks like, we know what Japan looks like and we know what China looks like because we’ve seen films that they’ve been featured in.

After the Leverage: Redemption Season 2 finale, executive producer Dean Devlin told us that Christian Kane would say that his character, hitter Eliot Spencer, could never be redeemed. He was right. While the last episode we saw of the Freevee series (in January) saw grifter Sophie (Gina Bellman) face her past and let go of her guilt, Eliot didn’t think he’d ever get to that point, not with what he’s done. And Kane agrees. When TV Insider spoke with Kane recently, we asked him about that, the future of the show (it has yet to be renewed or canceled), and much more. Is there any word on a Season 3 of Leverage: Redemption? Christian Kane: We have no idea. The writers’ strike has really put us — there’s nothing anybody can do right now, you know what I mean? Everybody’s hands are sort of tied with this thing.

All 10 episodes will be available at once. But as the first season showed, he can’t just run the gift shop in the island’s luxury resort hotel. Rather, he gets pulled back into law enforcement through cases with his friends in the local police,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Leverage: Redemption Season 2.] Did the Leverage: Redemption Season 2 finale, in its last moments, set up the next job we’ll see the crew pulling off? Hardison (Aldis Hodge) videos in from the space station where he’s been for most of the season to reveal that the guys who sent him up there forgot about him and can’t launch a rocket for a rendezvous for two months. But he has a solution: The others can come get him! Sophie (Gina Bellman), Parker (Beth Riesgraf), Eliot (Christian Kane), Harry (Noah Wyle), and Breanna (Aleyse Shannon) make excuses and walk out… leaving Hardison to call after them. He can’t take another freeze-dried meal, he insists, plus he’s missed three DC movies (a nice nod to Hodge’s role as Hawkman in Black Adam) and doesn’t even know who’s fighting whom. Everyone, of course, comes back, eager to start...

And they’re even going to be getting Hardison (Aldis Hodge) back… after they steal him from the space station, that is. Executive producer Dean Devlin discusses key moments from Season 2 and what could be ahead if the series is renewed. Eliot thinks he’ll never be redeemed. Is that something we could see explored in a significant way in a Season 3? Dean Devlin: Absolutely. That’s kind of...

Much like its parent show "Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel" relied heavily on metaphor. However, while "Buffy" dealt with the high school experience, only truly going dark in its later seasons, "Angel" always sought to tell more adult-oriented stories. The spin-off never quite reached the same heights of the original, but it came pretty damn close, and there are certain aspects of the series that were even stronger. For one, just about every character who made the jump from "Buffy" to "Angel" was the better for it. Cordelia (Charisma Carpenter), Wesley (Alexis Denisof), Faith (Eliza Dushku), and Darla (Julie Benz) all went from being relatively one-dimensional, to becoming some of the best characters in the entire Buffyverse. Even Harmony (Mercedes McNab) was vastly improved.
Perhaps the biggest revelation was Angel (David Boreanaz) himself. A broody hunk who was far more interesting when he actually went evil, Buffy's former beau was...

And now is the perfect time to watch (or re-watch) the drama — a sequel to Leverage, which aired five seasons on TNT from 2008 to 2012 — which has been renewed by the streaming service. The first season of Leverage: Redemption brought back Gina Bellman, Christian Kane, and Beth Riesgraf as series regulars and Aldis Hodge as a special guest star. They were joined by Noah Wyle and Aleyse Shannon. Timothy Hutton was missing from the cast when the IMDb TV reboot was confirmed.
Now, the star is suing producer Electric Entertainment, saying his contract was breached when he was let go from the series following a report of a sexual assault allegation, according to Variety.
BuzzFeed reported in March 2020 that a woman had gone to the police in Vancouver with a claim that Hutton had raped her in 1983, when she was 14.
The actor denied the allegations, claiming in a statement that Johnston had made “multiple extortion attempts … to extract millions of dollars from me,” and “threatened that if I did not meet her demands, she would go to the press with a false allegation that I sexually assaulted her 37 years ago in Canada.”
