- Adam Kessel was born in 1866. He was a producer and actor, known for Disinherited Son's Loyalty (1909), Romance of a Fishermaid (1909) and A Terrible Attempt (1909). He died on September 21, 1946 in Keeseville, New York, USA.
- Along with Mack Sennett and Charles Bauman, Kessel was a founding member of Keystone Films, which was originally formed as a subsidiary of the New York Motion Picture Company. That company, formed in 1909, lasted until 1914, when it was renamed the New York Motion Picture Corp.
