Chef Jean Christophe Novelli is world-renowned and with Michelin award-winning restaurants to his name. Now the French celebrity chef is adding TV personality to his repertoire. He'll be the subject of Bravo's new show, "Chef Academy," which chronicles Novelli's opening of his first Academy in America.
The Novelli Academy Cookery School in the UK was named one of the "Top 25 Cookery Schools in the World," and Novelli's set his sights on Venice, California for his stateside venture. Along with his executive chef Steve Kitchen and assistant Joel, Novelli selects nine students for his first foray in teaching French cooking in America.
Of course, the fate of the students at the Academy are at stake and they'll be assessed weekly through a variety of tests and challenges, including recreating classic French dishes in their own style.
