Techno figurehead Carl Cox boasts a long and storied history with legendary superclub Space Ibiza, and he’s just announced that he will continue his residency at the venue into a 14th year. In addition, he’s released the lineup details for the first two months of the residency – and techno purists will undoubtedly rejoice at the names on each bill.
Cox’s own name tops each list, but performances by all stars like Adam Beyer, Nicole Moudaber, Eats Everything, Marco Carola and Ida Engberg round out the roster of each Tuesday at the world-famous nightclub. Seeing as how the Ibiza market has managed to maintain its focus on underground house and techno even as mainstream Edm dominates the airwaves, the lineups announced only reinforce Space Ibiza’s reputation as a timeless dance music mainstay.
You can check out the full lineup for each of Carl Cox‘s first eight residency dates below.

Sensation touches down in America on Halloween weekend, bringing some 25,000 all-white wearing revelers to Brooklyn's shiny new cultural touchstone, the Barclays Center.
The crowd will be heading, on Friday and Saturday nights, to take part in a long-running ritual of celebration. Sensation, the global dance event put on by ID&T, is a party which places the emphasis on environments, visuals and performance. That's a departure from many of groups that would, at first glance, be in Sensation's peer group. Though Festivals from Electric Daisy Carnival to Ultra Music Festival are also heavy on Led walls, fireworks and stage production, they essentially focus on the headliners -- culled from a relatively small selection that runs from trance heavyweights like Armin van Buuren to progressive house party rockers like Afrojack.

Florence + The Machine and Calvin Harris unveiled their new single on BBC's Radio 1 today, and it follows the familiar pattern of taking love-strung vocals and layering them over a bouncy, ever-building beat.
Those looking for soaring, "You've Got the Love"-style vocals will be disappointed. Florence Welch never really strains herself, apparently saving her typically athletic singing for tracks that won't primarily be used at dance music festivals.
It's not the first time the two have worked together. Harris -- he of "We Found Love" fame among top 40 fans and "Feel So Close" superstardom among dance music listeners -- contributed a solid remix of Florence + The Machine's "Spectrum."
A touch of bad news for Flo + The Machine fans: The singer recently told Style (via NME) that she planned to take a year off before beginning work on her next album. She suffered a vocal chord injury early this year, but...

Florence Welch, of Florence and the Machine, has been hailed for her "bold, brassy voice" and "bombastic" music, but could she ditch the harps and ethereal dresses for synths and dubstep? In a recent interview with Digital Spy, the British singer revealed that she has a new house music side project -- with a very appropriate name.
"We actually have a dance outfit side project called Side Project," she said. "We made this weird house track that sounded quite churchy -- to be confirmed! As yet it has never seen the light of day."
Welche's music has long been remixed by house producers, most notably by Mark Knight. His rework of "You've Got the Love" became a staple at nearly every dance music festival. (Skip past the intro to the 2:00 mark; article continues below video.)
Perhaps her adoration for Scottish DJ and house producer, Calvin Harris, who recently remixed her latest single "Spectrum.

Miami — Swedish house music producer Avicii is currently one of the most popular artists working in music — yes, in music, not just his native Edm. And that star standing was only reinforced on Saturday night when he headlined a gig on day two of this year's Ultra Music Festival.
Avicii (born Tim Bergling) packed in every hit he could into his closing set on Ultra's Main Stage. "Fade into Darkness" had tens of thousands of Miami fans chanting back the song's catchy hook, as did his "Silhouettes" and Mark Knight's remix of Florence and the Machine's "You've Got the Love."

U.K. electronic duo Underworld, perhaps best known for the seminal "Trainspotting" soundtrack cut "Born Slippy," are taking a look back at their 20-year career, while also moving forward with new projects. Underworld is set to release two anthologies covering their career. The cryptically titled "A Collection" is a single CD offering highlights of the band’s recorded output, including radio (i.e., shorter) versions of their most popular tunes in addition to recent collaborations with such like-minded artists as High Contrast & Tiesto ("The First Note is Silent"), Mark Knight & D. Or maybe it was when Martin Solveig's "Hello" was suddenly on repeat on your iPod. Whatever your moment was, it's fair to say the American appetite for electronic dance music surged in 2011, bringing "the rave" to radio and festivals, touching every U.S. city (big and small). Even Grammy voters took notice this year, nominating Skrillex for Best New Artist and in four other categories.

Following debut single "Earthquakey People," which features Weezer vocalist Rivers Cuomo, the electronic dance music DJ/ producer collaborates with one of the biggest brands in Edm today, or the past decade, for that matter: His latest song, "Tornado," is co-produced by veteran icon Tiësto.
While the two producers may sound completely different in style, their coming together makes sense. When you hear the name ‘Stratford Upon Avon’, it immediately conjures up images of the beautiful English countryside; fields and fields of stunning flowers, and of course the home of William Shakespeare. However, for one weekend a year, this amazing location is transformed into one of the biggest dance music festival venues in England. As thousands of people descend onto a disused airfield a few miles outside a sleepy little town to dance the nights away in a euphoric, fun filled frenzy…this festival is of course Global Gathering.
As the weekend started, the roads leading to Long Marston Airfield were backed up for miles. However, this didn’t dampen the spirits of the thousands of attendees as they all waited patiently in a queue of traffic, creeping along slowly until they finally reached the massive air field; moving quickly to unpack and pitch their tents in prime locations, ready...

Today, the annually epic and newly relocated Electric Daisy Carnival announced its headliners for the now-three-day affair — scheduled for June 24-26. This year's mega-fest, which had in the past been held at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, will journey across the desert and into the heart of Sin City, where it will be held for the first time at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
Headlining on Friday, June 24, will be Tiësto, who recently blew away the crowd at Miami's Ultra Music Festival. His latest smash hit, "Beautiful World" — a collaboration with Mark Knight featuring Dino — earned fan-favorite honors in MTV News' Top Track of Miami poll, and his latest album, Club Life, Volume One: Las Vegas, currently sits at #3 on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums charts.

I mean really, who can honestly say that dance music hasn't become a global phenomenon? After 10 days of polling, and over 34,000 votes tallied from 108 countries, the masses have spoken in our quest to find the biggest track to come out of Miami Music Week 2011. Our Dutch friend Tiësto, and collaborator Mark Knight came in with a landslide win in the final days with their #1 Beatport smash, "Beautiful World," featuring Dino.
When the poll first launched, Skrillex's remix of Benny Benassi's "Cinema" was neck and neck with Calvin Harris' Miami Monster "Awooga," and Dirty South's remix of Diddy Dirty Money's "Coming Home" stayed in the hunt in third place. But in the waning days of our poll, Tiësto and Mark Knight fans came through with a late effort placing the collaboration on top, scoring nearly 15,000 votes.

Have you recovered yet? We barely have. And now that everyone is home and chasing down the hot tunes that they can't shake from their craniums, we're asking the fans what they think the biggest track of Miami Music Week was. With so many great new tunes popping up on the scene, there are lots to choose from. Miami — Last night in Miami's downtown district, Above & Beyond threw their annual homage to trance with their massive Anjunabeats party, which this year was held at the Ice Palace for the first time. Having expanded into their new home from their usual venue Karu & Y, the Ice Palace offered a massive space for the enthused crowed to hear Jono and Paavo, two-thirds of the trance trio, spin a killer set.
Hitting the massive Led-wrapped stage after an invigorating set by the reunited duo Gabriel & Dresden, the crowd erupted as the trance legends dove right into it, opening with "The Taxi Driver" by Andrew Bayer.
Also highlighted in the first hour of Above & Beyond's set was "Beautiful World" featuring Dino, a new cut from fellow trance icon Tiësto, who collaborated with Mark Knight.

Ed Stelz, New York CityRejection. Criticism. Struggle. Poverty. Insecurity. We, as actors, have most likely experienced one, if not all, of these hindrances during our careers. They become individual ball-and-chain encumbrances tightly shackled to our ankles as we sprint toward the finish-line-o-success in an extremely crowded marathon race. In January, my insecurity ball grew to what felt like 1,000 pounds—and only because I lost focus on what was important in my career—or better, why I chose this career to begin with. My current show, "Carnival Round the Central Figure," received unbelievably amazing reviews, including a Critic's Pick from Back Stage and a brilliant New York Times review. Now this might confuse you. Why would I, as one of the main supporting characters, be insecure after these reviews? Well, I'm also one of the only actors who never received a personal review—nothing good, nothing bad, just nothing. I speak...

Ed Stelz, New York CityOnce upon a time, someone mistook me for Brad Pitt. Okay, I know you just looked at my headshot. And I know what you're thinking. So, since you're in agreement with them (ahem), let me reveal my true identity.Less than 3.5 years ago, I was filling out medical school applications. Less than 3.49 years ago, I finished making origami out of them. A two-and-a-half-year New York City conservatory training and many auditions later, I find myself full steam ahead with my acting career. I've failed. I've failed many, many times. I've tested boundaries, flopped many auditions, and—like many actors—chosen the wrong flavor of custard at the Shake Shack. I've also booked national commercials, Equity shows, and Off-Off-Broadway plays my mother wouldn't even see. But whether I succeeded or flubbed, I knew I needed to stay optimistically proactive by shimmy-shammying past all challenges still ahead of me.

The duo's current record features input from Dubfire, Mark Knight & D. Ramirez, Appleblim & Al Tourettes and Paul van Dyk Asked about the guest collaborators, Hyde told Digital Spy: "It was a very conscious decision - it's been borne out of years of having our music remixed and really enjoying the remixes. We just said, 'Wouldn't it be great to get into the studio with some of these people and find out what happens before the tracks are even finished?'. We love jamming, we really love jamming." Asked if he and Smith were tempted to enlist Darren Emerson, who was in Underworld (more)...

Is electro-house producer Wolfgang Gartner up next for a Deadmau5-like surge in popularity?
Well, consider this: Gartner's newest single with British house-music producer Mark Knight, "Conscindo," held the #1 spot on Beatport's dance-music charts for two weeks in July, and in the past two years, he's had eight other tracks make it to the top, including Beatport's best-selling track of 2009, "Wolfgang's 5th Symphony."
Then there's his awards nominations: He was nominated in the DJ Awards' Best Newcomer category and also made the top-100 list for America's Best DJ. Voting is under way for both.
Gartner has remixed everyone from Britney Spears to Timbaland and Black Eyed Peas and is currently working with Tiësto, Will.I.Am and Kaskade on separate forthcoming releases.
