A week after he was announced as playing Black Panther for Marvel, actor Chadwick Boseman has signed on to star in Fabrice Du Welz's upcoming thriller "Message From the King" for Entertainment One and The Ink Factory.
Boseman plays Jacob King, a young South African man who heads to Los Angeles in search of his younger sister with just a few hundred dollars a return ticket booked home in one week. Within one day he learns his sister has been murdered, and the film follows his actions over the next six days.
Stephen Cornwell ("A Most Wanted Man") and Oliver Butcher ("Unknown") penned the script. Stephen Cornwell, Simon Cornwell and David Lancaster will produce and filming begins in February in Los Angeles.

Open Road Films has acquired all U.S. rights to "Nightcrawlers," starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Rene Russo, from Bold Films, the companies announced today.The film was written and directed by veteran screenwriter Dan Gilroy ("The Bourne Legacy") in his directorial debut.
