In a statement, Hermès clarified the reason for Gaultier’s leaving. He said saying that Gaultier wanted to focus on his own brand. He has been leading the French luxury house’s women’s collection for seven years. The move has come as a surprise to the industry, with much talk regarding Hermès’ artistic demand gearing towards a likely transform.
