The Good Wife's very strong season finale had a lot going for it — a great ripped-from-the-headlines case for Finn and Alicia, the return of Wallace Shawn, a solid and surprising cliff-hanger — but it will likely be remembered most for being Kalinda's (and Archie Panjabi's) final episode. I'd actually thought Kalinda had left the series for good when she quietly skipped town a few episodes back, but I'm glad she was back on last night's episode to truly say good-bye. Skulking out the back door is not Kalinda's style.Kalinda comes back because she knows Lemond Bishop is out to get her and will intimidate and maybe harm Alicia, Cary, and the firm in order to learn her whereabouts. She confronts Bishop's lawyer Charles Lester (played by Wallace Shawn, whose perfection we'll unpack in a second) in the frozen-foods aisle of a grocery store. She declines his request for...

Alicia and Kalinda, together at last! The Good Wife season 6 finale, which also marked Archie Panjabi's final episode as investigator extraordinaire Kalinda Sharma, featured her first scene in two seasons with Julianna Margulies' Alicia Florrick. Although Kalinda ghosted out of town two weeks ago with barely a goodbye to anyone, not even former lover Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry) — well, save for a written confession she left Alicia — she returned to town when Lemond Bishop's lawyer, Charles Lester (Wallace Shawn), made it clear the jailed [...]...

Has there ever been a doubt that The Good Wife‘s Kalinda Sharma is a disciple of The Church of Nancy Sinatra?
Her boots — polished leather, knee-high, ridiculously sexy — have always been made for walkin’. And in the Season 6 finale, that’s just what they did… to whatever enigmatic destination her wall safe of cold cash, firearms and fake IDs (c’mon, you know she’s got ’em for at least a dozen jurisdictions) allowed.

The Good Wife, Season 5, Episode 13, “Parallel Construction, Bitches”
Written By Erica Shelton Kodish
Directed By Matt Shakman
Airs Sundays at 9pm Est on CBS
The mid-season break The Good Wife took over the last few months was almost certainly not built into the show’s plan for the season (if it was, it was not handled particularly elegantly). Where plenty of other network shows have taken to doing “mid-season finales” and structuring their longer, more unwieldy episode counts like two mini-seasons that form a more coherent whole, this is a show that works best as a behemoth, a large series of interconnecting plotlines that slowly fade in and out of relevance and become increasingly or decreasingly important across the season. The Good Wife is one of the best shows on television at keeping multiple plates in the air with a solid level of success (Justified leaps to mind as a possible comparison,...

Sean Parker got caught by the California Costal Commission trying to built a set for his wedding in what is deemed an "ecologically sensitive area," and now he has to pay up. The entrepreneur will pay an extra $2.5 million to the organization on top of the $10 million he's already dishing out for his wedding weekend as a settlement for building without permits.
TheWrap writes that neighbors reported Parker to the Ccc when he built a temporary cottage, fake ruins, a huge dance floor, staircases and waterfalls in California's Big Sur area. The trouble? He was building near redwood trees and a stream containing threatened steelhead trout. Parker and his bride Alexandra Lenas negotiated with the Ccc, and were allowed to proceed with their dream meeting after deciding on a financial settlement.
The money Parker paid will likely be used to purchase public easements, build hiking trails and provide grants, TheWrap reports.

Love him or hate him, I always enjoy a good Lemond Bishop episode of The Good Wife, as there is always just so. much. drama, and this week was no exception.
Before we get to all that, though, the first thing we witness in this week’s episode are signs of Lockhart Gardner rolling in the good times again: new modernist paintings being carted in to hang on walls, fancy finger foods at meetings, and Creepy M&M Lawyer proposing at a steering committee meeting that the 27th and 29th floors that were lost earlier this season be bought back. Alicia, by the way, is now a member of said steering committee.
Yep, that’s me.
Creepy M&M Guy and Will are staunchly for this buy back, while Diane and Alicia are more along the lines of, “Heeeey, yeah, so,...

Man, did this week's episode of The Good Wife feel light, interesting, and lean to you too? Why was that? Hmm.
Oh, yeah: Eli's one-note descent into perpetual anger didn't even make a cameo this week. We got a break from watching our main man torpedo his own awesome identity with hapless mugging. That's a break we needed. No dumbfounded Peter antics either. Phew. We really needed that break.
The Good Wife felt renewed and revived as the Lemond Bishop case surfaced again, Alicia tangled with an old law school foe and a creepy lawyer, and some Cary-and-Kalinda zsestxy-ness came on strong ("zsestxy" is an obvious combination of "zesty" and "sexy," and I want you to deal with it).
Here are my picks for the five most notable moments of "Runnin' With the Devil."
1. Alicia had two kickass moments right at the start of the show. Can you name them?...
