- Leo Leux was born on March 7, 1893 in Munich, Germany. He was a composer and actor, known for Suite Française (2014), Apt Pupil (1998) and Two Friends (1938). He died on September 8, 1951 in Berlin, Germany.
- He was able to continue his career as a filmcomposer after the war but he only had few more years left to demonstrate his abilities.
- He began his musical career as a bandmaster, later followed compositions at the Theater am Kurfürstendamm. Afterwards Leo Leux wrote the music for several revues which made him well-known to the audience.
- He got his first engagement as a filmcomposer in 1930 for "Susanne macht Ordnung" (30) and in the next years followed numerous engagements for writing the film music.
- Leo Leux did not have his first contact with the film business as a composer but as an actor in support roles.
