Rad (1986) is available on Altavod and VOD this July and it is now available on Blu-Ray through Vinegar Syndrome. Check out this new trailer:
Originally released in 1986 during the rise of the BMX bike craze, this powerful piece of pop cultural nostalgia is finally coming to disc, newly restored in 4K from its original negative by Fotokem. Chicago – The Bandit. Gator. The Man Who Loved Women. Jack Horner. Burt Reynolds played all these roles, in a roller coaster career that encompassed three eras of film and television. Reynolds died last month at age 82, taking with him a different breed of movie star, one that stole a scene with a self assured wink, mischievous smile and high pitched laugh.
Burt’s on-screen career began in 1958, and he had the distinction of being a regular on a hit TV show (“Gunsmoke”) in the 1960s, a movie star in the 1970s (“Smokey and the Bandit”) and ‘80s, and then back to TV (winning an Emmy for “Evening Shade), before getting his only Oscar nomination for “Boogie Nights.” His later career was notable for essentially being Burt Reynolds, as his second generation fans went on to produce shows like “Archer,” where Burt voices himself as Burt, and despite being named a...

Jupiter, Fla – When I met Burt Reynolds in 2011, I knew I was meeting Hollywood royalty… he filled the room as a Movie Star King. He was frail at that time, complaining of the injuries he endured in the over 90 films in his career, but nothing stopped his stardom until it was over. Reynolds died on September 6th, 2018. He was 82.
Burt was age 75 at our meeting, and he still had that the charm bearing that audiences adored in his heyday in the 1970s and early ‘80s, when he was the King of the Box Office. He started in 1950s TV, bounced around in that and B-movies in the ‘60s, and found his niche as a humor-motivated “good old boy” in a series of films in the ‘70s, culminating with “Smokey and the Bandit” in 1977, his most memorable hit. But even in his later years, he broke ground with “Boogie Nights,” and worked up to the end…...

Twelve years after her disappearance, and the case of Chandra Levy still hasn't reach it's conclusion. The 24-year-old Capitol Hill intern was last seen in May 2001. Following the disappearance, her family disclosed to police that she had been having an affair with U.S. Representative Gary Condit.
When Condit was unwilling to cooperate with investigators, speculation arose that he was behind the disappearance. While he was never charged, it completely derailed his political career.
The man who was eventually charged in her death, Ingmar Guandique, was convicted in 2010 with no physical evidence linking him to the crime. However, two other women came forward, claiming he had also attacked them in the same park where Levy's remains were found. Additionally a jailhouse informant claims that Guandique confessed the murder to him.
Now, CBS News is reporting the credibility of one of the witnesses is in doubt, however not even Levy's family knows who.

[1] The TV Western is definitely back in style, with several projects in various stages of development at different networks. And it seems audiences are into it as well -- Hell on Wheels just gave AMC it's second-biggest debut ever, just behind last year's premiere of The Walking Dead. For its part, CBS has just hatched a plan to reboot the '50s series The Rifleman, which was originally created by a young Sam Peckinpah. Harry Potter helmer Chris Columbus is set to direct. More details after the jump. Like the first Rifleman, the reboot will revolve around Civil War hero Lucas McCain, who has a talent for sharpshooting and a dark, troubled past. He moves to the uncharted territory of New Mexico in order to raise his son Mark, where he teams up with the local sheriff to protect his new hometown. Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island) and Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry...

"Jackass" film series director Jeff Tremaine will make his narrative feature debut on the comedy "Revenge of the Jocks" at Warner Bros. Pictures says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film takes the premise of 1980's comedy hit "Revenge of the Nerds" and turns it around. In this incarnation, the story follows three popular high school jocks whose glory days are long behind them.
Now they find themselves forced to adapt to a world run by the geek and nerd crowd, a few who're happy to unleash their own torment on them.
"I Heart Huckabees" scribe Jeff Baena is currently re-writing the script from Rami and Etan Cohen which the studio picked up in early 2009. Peter Abrams, Robert L. Levy, Michael Schreiber and Andrew Panay are producing.

Looks like there's some activity going on with a couple of people from the "Jackass" crew, one of them being director Jeff Tremaine. He's been sinking his teeth into the documentary-style comedies for over a decade now, it's finally time for a change. That's why it's cool to hear that Tremaine is finally signed on to direct the narrative comedy "Revenge of the Jocks." Written by "I Heart Huckabees" scribe Jeff Baena, "Revenge of the Jocks" focuses on threemen, once popular high school jocks with their glory days behind them, finding themselves forced to adapt to a world run by the geek and nerd crowd, some of whom are only too eager to unleash their own tormenting on the new underdog class. Don't know about the rest of you, but that premise sounds pretty awesome. Producing "Jocks" is Michael Schreiber, Peter Abrams, Robert L. Levy and Andrew Panay.Although "Jackass 3D...

Panay will produce the feature projects via his unnamed studio-based shingle, which will add staffers. The deal is a homecoming of sorts for Panay, who began his career as an intern and assistant at Disney.
At Tapestry, Panay came up with the idea for "Wedding Crashers," producing the movie with partners Peter Abrams and Robert Levy. He also created the idea and produced Tapestry's comedy hit "National Lampoon's Van Wilder," starring Ryan Reynolds.
