Weatherman Tony Williams and sports anchor Bret Lewis are exiting KCBS-TV Los Angeles as part of a slimming-down of the on-air talent ranks at the CBS O&O, sources said Monday. Both had worked for the station as weekend anchors on a freelance basis for the past few years. Williams' weekend weather duties on the 5, 6 and 11 p.m. newscasts will be assumed by Josh Rubenstein, who also will continue in his existing role as weather reporter for KCBS' sister station KCAL-TV Los Angeles. Lewis' sports duties will be divided between current KCBS sportscasters Steve Hartman and Darrin Horton. As part of the weekend assignment shuffle, anchor Marc Coogan will shift from the anchor's chair to full-time reporting. Glen Walker, who joined KCBS last year from WNBC New York, will co-anchor the Saturday and Sunday reports alongside Linda Alvarez. KCBS declined to comment on the changes late Monday.
