Exclusive: Jamie Pillet is joining WME as a talent agent and will be based in New York.
She previously spent 12 years at A3 Artists Agency. She was promoted to partner in 2020 and served as co-head of the talent department until her departure at the end of October, as reported by Deadline.
Pillet has helped build the careers of several rising stars over the last decade. Clients expected to join her at WME include Iain Armitage (Young Sheldon), Walker Scobell, Fred Hechinger, Andrew Barth Feldman (No Hard Feelings), Ben Levi Ross, Nicolette Robinson (Woman of the Hour) and Jahi Di’Allo Winston (We Have a Ghost).
Born in New York, Pillet was involved in theater and the performing arts from a young age. She attended school at the University at Buffalo where she earned her BA in theatre and political science.

After nearly 40 years, the Casting Society of America is opening its membership to commercial casting directors. Until now, membership was restricted to casting professionals involved in film, television, live theater, reality and short form series.
“Commercial casting directors apply their craft to an impactful form of storytelling, and we know that their insight and experience will add additional depth to Casting Society of America’s membership,” said Zora DeHorter and Caitlin Jones, the Csa’s vice presidents of communications and co-chairs of its newly formed commercial committee. “The artistic merit of our commercial colleagues helps further Csa’s mission to advocate and promote the profession of casting in all of its forms.”

Robbie Robertson will be a keynote speaker at Variety‘s second annual Music for Screens Summit, to be held at Neuehouse in Hollywood on Oct. 29.
The first wave of panelists has also been announced for the day-long gathering, which hosts the creators and greenlighters at the intersection of music and visual media.
Robertson has two projects reaching the big screen this year. A documentary about his time with the one of the key rock groups of the 1960s and ’70s, “Once Were Brothers: Robbie Robertson and the Band,” was the gala opening night premiere at this month’s Toronto International Film Festival and was acquired for worldwide theatrical distribution by Magnolia. He also provided music for his friend Martin Scorsese’s epic drama “The Irishman,” coming to theaters on Nov. 1, preceding its Nov. 27 Netflix bow. Robertson also has a new album, “Sinematic,” out Sept. 20.
