Metal Gear Solid, Hideo Kojima’s 1998 classic, got a hilarious review featuring David Hayter, Solid Snake’s voice, courtesy of Ricky Berwick. The “not so normal video entertainer” had a special treat for Metal Gear fans as Solid Snake made an appearance.
Ricky Berwick is a Canada-based vlogger who has been diagnosed with Beals-Hecht Syndrome, an incredibly rare genetic disorder. He is famous for his comedy skits and appearances on comedy shows.
Metal Gear fans are truly having a good time with the franchise with at least two more games in the pipeline, although no official release windows have been confirmed yet.

Director Geng Jun regroups his dream team for his latest film, “Manchurian Tiger”, a follow up (or sort of) to his previous “The Hammer and Sickle Are Sleeping” and “Free and Easy”, set once again in and around Hegang, Heilongjiang, the director’s hometown in the cold Northeast of China, and based on everyday quirky characters of the area.
“Manchurian Tiger” is screening at London East Asia Film Festival (Leaff)
Before the plot takes shape, we see a few sketches introducing the characters. Xu Dong (Zhang Yu) is an excavator machine operator in a mine of this constantly cold Chinese Northeast, and between a cigarette and an excavation, he enjoys the regular visits of his lover Xiaowei (Guo Yue) who is not the first one as we will discover later! Despite her insistence, he is firmly and melancholically convinced that his marriage is the only thing he has left in his life.

Probably one of the least known works of Yonfan, “Immortal Story” is a film that exemplifies love and its complexity, as much as Macao.
Mei Ling is an orphan girl with a great voice living in Macao, who depends on her aunt to make decisions for her. Her only friend is a kid named Le Wen Chi, who seems to idolize her, but also has a tendency for stealing. Eventually he finds a wallet and they decide to return it to Chung Chuen, a rich foreigner who is staying in the place with some colleagues. When Chung visits the restaurant Mei Ling is performing, he falls in love with her and the feeling is mutual. However, he eventually has to leave, and Mei Ling, despite having his address, decides not to ever write him, wary of the difference in social status.
After some years, she meets Pak Lan, an owner...

Photos with a tiger cub are important currency on Tinder. Selfies with your pet will get you likes on Instagram. For one man, these attention getting tactics weren’t enough; he wanted a sure deal, guaranteed success impressing the two female friends he brought to a zoo in Nanchang, China.
So, hell-bent on making these ladies crazy for his bachelor ways, he climbed the fence surrounding the panda exhibit and jumped in, reports The Telegraph.
The young man hopped into the enclosure in front of the women and then proceeded to wake up the panda inside. Because everyone knows your...

Now we’re talkin’.
After eight long years, Solid Snake finally returned for more tactical espionage action in Metal Gear Solid.
I’ll say it a million times, the 32/64 bit era was one of, if not the quantum leap in gaming and was absolutely mindblowing if you were old enough to experience it. It’s hard to explain to those born in the 90s, other than it was the equivalent of going from silent movies to suddenly having both color and sound. Console games were no longer confined to being in a 2D (or semi-3D) landscape. Games were now in full 3D glory.
However, it was also do or die for many older game franchises. They either made the leap successful (The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time) or failed spectacularly (Bubsy 3D anyone?). But Metal Gear was a series begging to be made in 3D. And with Hideo Kojima...

Gamers today are often wrapped in the cotton wool blanket of auto-saving and liberal checkpoints. Some games consider the most minute achievement worthy of a progress save and as a result we are rarely pushed into laborious repetition. Yet in the early days of gaming saving was a rare beast, games like Sonic The Hedgehog and Streets of Rage required a mammoth gaming session to complete as well as a great deal of skill.
In between these two extremes is a mechanic that is becoming increasingly rare in the games of today, the save point. Save points have always broken the verisimilitude of gaming, reminding you that you are indeed still playing a game. Some developers have come up with logical or at least sensible save points. Harry’s notebook in Silent Hill is an excellent way of getting around the idea of saving, he writes down the things he has done.

The Karate Kid is an overwhelming satisfying remake that harnesses the essence of the original while bringing it into the world of Kung Fu and the mystical charm of Bejing, China. Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith shine as the two stars as they bring a lot of charm and heart to the film.
Dubbed “Remake Weekend” the Will Smith produced redux of The Karate Kid hits theaters this weekend from Sony Pictures. The film stars Jaden Smith as Dre Parker a down and out 12 year old who has moved across the world with his mother to a land of mysticism and intrigue, China. There Dre must not only find himself but navigate the hardship of a true culture shock. Like most young teen boys Dre finds comfort in a local girl, Mei Ling but that leads to his first and not last confrontation with Cheng, a local bully who is...

Charlie Chan definitely has a place among the pantheon of famous fictional detectives. He is certainly one of the more controversial ones. Although Chan is undoubtedly a hero, many Asians resent the character as an ethnic stereotype. Chan is polite and soft spoken, never lacking an appropriate old Chinese proverb to suit the occasion.
The character of Charlie Chan was created by Earl Derr Biggers in 1923 as a rebuttal to the “Yellow Peril” stereotypes so common in literature of the day, such as Fu Manchu. Biggers lived in Hawaii and resented the unflattering Asian clichés so he invented a benign Chinese Investigator working for the Honolulu Police Force. He wrote several Chan novels. The honorable Chinese Detective became so popular that he was soon adapted into film. There were many Chan films, starting in the silent film era. Early films actually starred Chinese actors but the Audience didn’t respond to Asian Leading men.

Could a "Young Justice League" animated series be on the horizon? A report that hit the 'Net and was removed a short time later seems to indicate that's the case.
"I am beyond thrilled to announce that I was recently cast in the new animated series, 'Young Justice League', based on the famous (and awesome!?) DC Comics," wrote actress Stephanie Lemelin in a statement on her website that was snagged by Mania.com before being removed. "I seriously could not be more excited about being welcomed into this amazing family… what a fantastic way to start the new year! I will be voicing the character of Arrowette (see ridiculously hot avatar below!!! um, could I love her anymore?) as well as several supporting cast members."
"Due to the extreme popularity of this series, however, that’s about all I can say… for now," continued Lemelin. "[I am] so excited, this is...
