- Jeanette used the stage name Jan Loy at the beginning of her career.
- She was announced for a role in the Universal Picture Ladies Must Love (1933) but was eventually not cast.
- She sang with Charles Buddy Rogers' Orchestra in New York in 1933.
- Jeanette died in a hospital several days after swallowing ammonia. It is unclear whether she took it accidentally or committed suicide. She was buried at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, California.
- Originally signed for the leading lady role in the Universal Picture See America Thirst (1930) but the role eventually went to Bessie Love.
- Her father Marius Lov was born in 1878 in Minnesota and later changed the family name to Loff. Although Jeanette often claimed her father was a famous musician from Denmark he actually worked as a barber and a dairy farmer. He played the violin with an orchestra when the family lived in Canada. Marius Loff died in 1961.
