A BBC Breakfast presenter accidently released a box of mosquitoes live on air.
Louise Minchin was presenting a segment on insect bites during the show yesterday (August 15) when she offered to put her hand into the box of insects.
However, when she tried to put her hand in she accidentally ripped off the front of the container, releasing the creatures into the studio.
The guest on the show, Dr James Logan from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, quickly moved the box and reassured everybody that there was no danger, while Minchin tried to control her laughter for the rest of the segment.
She said: "Me and mosquitoes have a very bad relationship.
"I have actually knocked myself out trying to kill a mosquito."
The video has currently amassed over 62,000 views since being put on YouTube yesterday.

The second to last month of summer is coming to a close and it looks like we're slowly wrapping things up with what might be the last big blockbuster of the summer unless we get a couple of August surprises, which is still very possible. This week it's all about Hugh Jackman's return as James Logan Aka (the) Wolverine and having the weekend to itself (unlike last weekend) should prove to be beneficial in the movie overcoming some of the trepidations fans might have after its weak predecessor X-Men Origins: Wolverine a few years back. At the same time, we're getting a raunchy R-rated comedy starring Aubrey Plaza from "Parks and Recreation" taking on a bunch of highly-acclaimed Sundance movies that are expanding nationwide and it should be a far busier and more interesting...

At this point, there are no actors who have played their respective superhero roles as many times as Hugh Jackman has played James Logan aka Wolverine. If you count the original three X-Men movies, X-Men Origins: Wolverine , his brief cameo in X-Men: First Class and now The Wolverine and next year's X-Men: Days of Future Past , that ties Jackman for the seven times that Roger Moore played James Bond and getting him closer to the Harry Potter kids' eight movies among them. This time, Logan is brought to Japan by Kenuichio Harada (Will Yun Lee), an old friend from the past, and he winds up in a web of murder and intrigue as he has sworn to protect his friend.s granddaughter Mariko (newcomer Tao Okamoto) along with Harada.s feisty assassin Yukio (Rila Fukushima). Like someone who underestimated how much space there was left in the margin, Lionsgate has just said “eh, screw it” and crammed the rest of their casting news in at the bottom. After months of slowly and methodically revealing the actors in their highly anticipated sequel, the studio has added eleven new faces to their marketing team’s Facebook trading card/advent calendar doohicky.
While most of them probably won’t have a line longer than “Whu–?” in the movie, this final bit of news rounds out the list of tributes participating in The Hunger Games: Catching Fire’s murder-a-thon.

The long list of new castmates for "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is now finally complete.
Lionsgate unleashed the names of the last remaining tributes joining the fold for supporting roles in "Catching Fire" today, filling in the remaining spaces in Districts 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 with actors Justin Hix, Megan Hayes, James Logan, Ivette Li-Sanchez, Bobby Jordan (Blight), John Casino (Woof), Elena Sanchez (Cecelia), Daniel Bernhardt, Marian Greene, Jackson Spidell and Tiffany Waxler.
The near-dozen new faces are mostly all relative newcomers to the game, but they'll take arms with the best of 'em for the "Hunger Games" sequel, and at least one of the to-be tributes is openly stoked at the prospect. Megan Hayes responded to the news release on Twitter today writing, "Finally! Please forgive all the secrets, fibs, half truths I have been keeping/telling lately! District 6!!!"
As Effie Trinket might say, "Welcome, welcome."

Back in 2000, wow, can't believe that's 12 years ago, we saw our first X-Men film on the big screen. As part of the second renaissance of superhero movies, Bryan Singer's film paved the way for the annual summer comic book movie festival we now enjoy. However, production on the film was somewhat troubled, least of which, was the casting search to play James Logan aka Wolverine. Up for the role at the time was legendary Misfits frontman, Glen Danzig. Recently speaking to La Weekly Danzig "reflects" on that opportunity--- Early in the film's pre-production, you were in talks to play Wolverine in X-Men. How would you have played Logan/Wolverine differently than Hugh Jackman? Danzig: It wouldn't have been as gay. Actually, he wasn't the first choice. They hired Dougray Scott. He had a falling out with the director, and then they hired Hugh Jackman. I'm glad I didn't...

Hugh Jackman will be taking centre stage to present an award at the Oscars, alongside co-hosts James Franco and Anne Hathaway next month.
The X-Men star was the first celebrity to be approached by producers Bruce Cohen and Don Mischer to host the Academy Awards for a second time.
But Jackman – who is famous for playing James Logan aka Wolverine in the X Men trilogy and Wolverine films – had to turn down hosting duties due to scheduling conflicts.
The Aussie actor will be preparing for another Wolverine feature, with Oscar nominated Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky throughout February, according to Deadline.
However, he won’t be shunning the awards altogether – Jackman will present one of this year’s contenders with an acclaimed Oscar gong, although the category is yet to be announced.

Released on DVD and Blu-ray in the UK last Monday, 20th Century Fox's X-Men Origins: Wolverine has already broken records for disc sales in the USA.
Over the past week, I've been steadily working my way through the Blu-ray with its hours of bonus features.
Wolverine has been a somewhat controversial project. There were persistent rumours of production troubles; an unfinished version of the movie was leaked online a month before its cinema release; and when it did come out, it was clawed by critics and received mostly negative reviews.
Some have said the DNA of the 20th Century Fox franchise has mutated into a mess or even a monstrosity.
So what's it like? Is this a Blu-ray worth adding to your collection? Well, let's find out...

After missing this one during it's theatrical run, I was looking forward to checking out X-men Origins: Wolverine upon it's recent release on DVD. Reviewed here from the nearly extras-free single-disc release, I finally got caught up on one of the few recent Marvel releases that I had yet to see.
Having seen the film covered at great length here on Starlog (and elsewhere), my wife and I sat down to watch it with fairly low expectations.
But echoing what David McDonnell said in his review back in May (read it here), I liked the film a great deal.
Opening in 1845 in the Northwest Territory of Canada, the film establishes a brotherhood between Victor Creed aka Sabretooth and James Logan aka Wolverine as children. Through a montage set behind the opening titles, we see the brothers fighting side-by-side through the Civil War, World War I, World War II, and Vietnam...

Remember how when you were a kid and you were having a birthday party and you begged your mom not to buy the cheap generic potato chips but please please please get the Ruffles with Ridges because they really were better?
