With that said, there is a massive decision that the Leader of Cenation made which many fans absolutely do not agree with one bit and it changed the course of WWE for good.

WWE is no new to long-term storytelling, and it seems the seeds for the next big rivalry have already been sown on Night One of WrestleMania 40. While initially it was supposed to be The Rock vs Roman Reigns, following the fans’ backlash, who were adamant about seeing Cody Rhodes finish his story, it was eventually scrapped.
With the Bloodline now coming on top on Night One, resulting in a Bloodline Rules match for the main event of Night Two, the American Nightmare might be in for a rough time tonight. However, following Reigns’ mistakes in the tag-team match against Rhodes and Seth Rollins, fans believe a betrayal from the Brahma Bull is likely.

Bully Ray/Bubba Ray Dudley made big bucks in his professional wrestling career, which has spanned Ecw, WWE, Tna, and WCW, among other promotions. Now in Ring of Honor, his money counting machine hasn’t slowed down, he told us. Ray (real name Mark LoMonaco), like RoH Supercard of Honor headliner Cody (do not call him “Cody Rhodes”) before him, assured us that there is “plenty of money to be made” in independent wrestling — a term that these days basically means any league that isn’t WWE. Ian McShane? More like Ian McShade! The British star appeared on Game of Thrones for one lousy (okay, it was pretty good, but regardless) episode and not only does he appear to not respect the fans, he also seems to reckon he can tell them what to do. And what do we say to the Lord of Shade? "Not today!" McShane made his debut as Brother Ray on HBO's cult fantasy series last summer. Months earlier, he had angered many viewers who hate spoilers when he revealed in interviews what they felt was too much info about his role and the plot line and also teased the return of a character. "Can you believe it? 'Oh, you're...

I’ll be the first to tell you that I like Ian MacShane. He’s one of the best “gruff” actors out there. No one does “man” roles better than Ian MacShane with the exception of maybe Sam Elliott. You might remember McShane appearing on Game of Thrones last season. While he wasn’t on the show long he definitely left his mark and fans loved his appearance. McShane, who played Brother Ray in “The Broken Man,” just said something he may very well regret about Got fans. Here’s the full rundown from Digital Spy Ian McShane was pretty awesome in his one-off

Warning: spoilers ahead for season 6, episode 8 of Game of Thrones, entitled "No One." If you haven't seen the episode yet, turn back now.
This season, I'm going to try to write up some quick thoughts about each episode the day after it airs. I won't get too deep into full-on recaps (you can find those all over the internet, and you've probably already read a few today if you're into that sort of thing) and will instead focus on what I consider to be each episode's best moments. This can be as many or as few as I want, and will likely vary every episode — today, there are three. I'll also toss in some additional observations that don't fit into the "best moments" category, which you can find at the bottom of the post. For the best moments of earlier episodes this season, click here. Onward!
3. Arya vs. The Waif
On a gut level, this confrontation was satisfying because the Waif has been straight up kicking Arya's ass for multiple seasons at this point, so it was cool to see Arya lure her into the darkness, where she's proven to be a better fighter thanks to her extended blindness (I don't think candles work that way, though — wouldn't the lit end have remained illuminated as it fell to the floor?). She settles her debt with Jaqen and the Many-Faced God by adding the Waif's face to the hall, and though this action apparently earns her the final approval of Jaqen (she finally became "no one"), Arya immediately rejects the title and heads for home. That, too, is satisfying, but when I step back and look at the larger picture of Arya's storyline over the past couple of seasons, I can't help but think there was an awful lot of wheel-spinning going on for this to be the final outcome of her training. Sure, she's good at fighting in the dark now, and yeah, maybe she gained a better sense of self in the process, but at this point I'm not sure the whole excursion to Braavos was worth it. Hopefully the rest of her plotlines in the show include many more moments that directly correlate to her time there in order to further justify it.
2. The Hound Reunites With The Brotherhood
The Hound tracks down the defecting members of the Brotherhood Without Banners who murdered Brother Ray and his village last week and absolutely destroys them with his axe, eventually reuniting with Beric Dondarrion, Thoros of Myr (who looks a lot like William Hurt), and the remaining members of the true Brotherhood. After a hanging, the gang tries to talk the Hound into joining, and whether or not the Hound eventually takes them up on their offer, it looks like they're all going to be heading north together soon. Far enough north to have any impact on next week's events at Winterfell? That's probably too much to ask for. (I thought we were going to see Lady Stoneheart in this episode for sure, and if you don't know who that is, don't Google it because it's a massive spoiler and could technically still be a reveal in the finale.)
1. Brienne and Pod at Riverrun
Well, that siege didn't last long. With the Blackfish (apparently) dead and Brienne and Pod rowing off into the distance with Jaime Lannister's approval, that whole subplot seems to have come to an end rather quickly. But I don't really care that much about the machinations at Riverrun — the best moments in this episode were character-based, like Bronn and "Podrick fucking Payne" messing around outside the tents while Jaime and Brienne spoke. The latter two have a complicated relationship and it was nice to see some flickers of that in their conversation, though it doesn't seem like they'll be seeing each other again any time soon. It's important to note that Jaime giving Brienne Oathkeeper for good is a big deal because it's a Valyrian steel sword, and as we've seen elsewhere, those and dragonglass (obsidian) are the only things that can kill White Walkers. (One thing I didn't realize: co-showrunner D.B. Weiss said in a post-show interview that there are probably only ten of those swords left in the world.) But my favorite lines in the episode were in the exchange between Brienne and Pod when they first arrived at Riverrun:
"Looks like a siege, my lady."
"You have a keen military mind, Pod."
Additional Observations
Tyrion seemed pretty pleased with himself that Meereen is back to some semblance of normalcy, and his parting with Varys seemed bittersweet in the way that often happens in TV shows and movies which indicates those two characters will never see each other again. Meanwhile, we get yet another scene of Tyrion attempting to get Missandei and Grey Worm to loosen up. This was the best one, but it was interrupted by the slavers attacking the city, which lead to one of the episode's worst moments: Dany strolling into the Meereen pyramid after being dropped off by Drogon off-screen. She's just going to stand there and not say anything? Do the showrunners pay Emilia Clarke by the word or something, and they're trying to save money? Talk about anti-climactic.
Bummer about Lady Crane. It was nice to see her put Arya's suggestions into practice and change the script in the play, but for God's sake, get a flask or something! Did you see how she was about to drink from that unattended pitcher in her dressing room even after she nearly died doing the same thing a couple of weeks ago?
Tommen banishing trial by combat seems like a pretty big blow to Cersei's grand plan to use the Mountain as her not-so-secret weapon, but it's an even bigger blow to the fan theory about "Cleganebowl," which guessed/hoped that Cersei would choose the Mountain as her champion and the Faith would choose The Hound, so we'd get to see the two brothers face off in a battle to the death. But Cersei has something far more incendiary up her sleeve (that mysterious "rumor" she spoke about with Qyburn), and I'm guessing we'll see it play out in the season finale in two weeks.

A review of tonight's Game of Thrones coming up just as soon as anyone not drinking is disrespecting our queen... "I choose violence." -Cersei The last couple of episodes prior to "No One" had the air of "To Be Continued" wafting throughout, in a way that Game of Thrones installments tend to have more of in the earlier parts of seasons. But I went with them because they had nice individual moments, and because I understand that not every episode can feature Dany literally burning down the Dothraki patriarchy or Hodor's tragic origin/death. "No One," though, suggested that a lot of what's happened lately hasn't so much been set-up for the next big moment, but a way to kill time until it comes. The title refers to Arya rejecting her role in the Faceless Men — after first offering the Many-Faced God a sacrifice in the Waif — to resume her identity and prepare to return to Westeros. Despite some nifty parkour action in the streets of Braavos, and a decent payoff to Arya's time learning how to fight blind, the end result of it all brought us right back where we started from: Arya, having apprenticed under another badass, ready to return to her list. Maybe she's a better fighter than she was when she was apprenticing under Syrio and the Hound, but it feels like the series needed to park Arya in an out-of-the-way place for a couple of seasons so she'd be available and relatively undamaged until the endgame. The show never convincingly sold us on the idea that she might really abandon her true identity to be No One, and so we got some nice action beats and amusing Jaqen doublespeak, but otherwise could have kept her off-camera for as long as the Hound was absent. Arya actually rejects two paths in this episode, as she also declines the invitation of Lady Crane (Rip) to join the acting troupe and go to Pentos. And "No One" spends a lot of time on people refusing offers to unite, particularly in ways that might advance the overall story. Edmure and the Blackfish have appeared so briefly and infrequently that they only vaguely qualify as characters at all — Hot Pie has a more clearly-delineated personality than Edmure — so if the point of coming back to Riverrun to deal with them and Walder Frey wasn't to add to Sansa and Jon's army, nor to turn Jaime's loyalties(*), then why were we there at all? At this late stage of the game, the show doesn't have to devote every second of every episode to advancing the major story arcs, but when it isn't, it needs to be giving that time to characters the audience actually has an investment in, and preferably telling us things we didn't already know about them. Even Jaime's confession to Edmure that he only cares about getting back to Cersei, no matter what monstrous things he has to do along the way, isn't particularly revelatory, given all that the siblings have said to each other this season. (*) It remains entirely possible that both of these could happen — Jaime did, after all, let Brienne and Pod leave unharmed — but where we stand right now, it's all much ado about nothing much. The Hound hasn't declined Beric's invitation to join the Brotherhood Without Banners quite yet — and their desire to head North does, at least, feel germane to larger concerns in the way the Riverrun material ultimately didn't — and at least in that storyline, the show is once again toying with our feelings about violence and retribution. One week after Brother Ray made his argument against violence as a disease that solves nothing, the Hound is right back to butchering men with ease, and while we might want to see him get vengeance for his friends, you get the sense Brother Ray very much wouldn't want this from him, any more than Ned would want Arya to have gone down the path she's been on ever since his head left his body. Over in Meereen, the Mother of Dragons, Breaker of Chains, Arriver of Predictability came back in a moment that was as underwhelming as it was telegraphed. Given how dramatically unnecessary Dany's speech to the troops was a couple of weeks ago (that's the monologue she delivers after the Dothraki's support has started to waver, not when they are gladly following her to Meereen), I wonder if the show might have blown its FX budget on a dragon shot it didn't need, which denied us the image of her astride Drogon floating off the pyramid balcony, rather than her just walking through a door at a moment when she obviously was going to, because who else could turn back the Masters' fleet in this particular moment of the story? (Yarra and Theon possibly could, but it makes more narrative sense for them to arrive there after Dany.) Even Cersei's quote about violence, which was the highlight of the pre-season trailers, feels a bit less giddy in context, not only because it's hard at this point to root for either side in her war against the Sparrow — which he has cleverly taken the upper hand in by eliminating the practice of trial by combat — but because recent installments of the show have warned us against reveling too much in murder and dismemberment. Which is an interesting approach to take for a show that features so much of it, but a refreshingly honest and reflective one. Still, I've had enough cooling of my heels here, and am eager for the stories to start having real forward momentum again. This was among the more forgettable episodes the show's done so far, which you would hope wouldn't happen this late in either a season or the overall run. Some other thoughts: * We unfortunately didn't get the extended Brienne/Bronn scene I've been hoping for, but Brienne's reunion with Jaime hit some strong emotional notes — particularly when he told her to keep the Valyrian steel sword — and Bronn's own reunion with Pod was pretty delightful in its own right. Another reason to hope for Jaime to switch sides: it would give Bronn opportunity to continue teaching Pod how to fight dirty. * As someone who obsesses a lot about the map, and about the parts of the show's world that we've never seen but had occasional hints of, Arya's suggestion that she might try to find out what's west of Westeros had me very intrigued. But, of course, she'll be too busy settling old scores to play Columbus. * Varys heads back to Westeros to sow seeds for Dany's arrival, which not only breaks up the delightful Dinklage/Hill comedy team, but makes it exceedingly unlikely that we'll ever get Varys, Theon, and Grey Worm in the same room at the same time for a eunuch support group. Oh, well. * I had forgotten how amusing the Hound's dry contempt for his opponents can be, as we saw when he offered one of the rogue Brothers a chance to change his final words from "Fuck you!" to "cunt." * Lady Crane took Arya's notes about her performance, and the audience was even more moved by it. Surprise! Every week, we expect "Game of Thrones" to start with 1) clips from previous episodes to tease what's ahead, and 2) the map intro with the theme song and credits. But that was not the case for Season 6, Episode 7, "The Broken Man." Instead, GoT delayed the map intro and went straight into a scene with complete strangers ... until one of them was revealed to be Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann).
Bryan Cogman, who wrote "The Broken Man," recently teased that there was a week of shooting for this episode that was his favorite week in six seasons on the show. He confirmed to Entertainment Weekly that it was the sequence with The Hound and Brother Ray (Ian McShane):
"It was my favorite week on Game of Thrones because it's a beautiful little three-act play. Very much on purpose it tonally doesn't really feel like Game of Thrones until the end when everyone gets slaughtered.

A review of tonight's Game of Thrones coming up just as soon as I wonder if you're the worst person I've ever met... "Never too late to come back." -Brother Ray "The Broken Man" does an unusual thing, structurally: it's the first mid-season Game of Thrones episode to open with a scene before the credits (the show did cold opens in some of its early season premieres, like Tywin melting down Ned's sword), revealing that the Hound survived his wounds from the fight against Brienne, not to mention Arya's decision to abandon him to a slow and agonizing death, rather than the quick one he pleaded for. I have mixed feelings about the return of Sandor Clegane, since I love the actor and character, but think Arya's decision to leave him bleeding in the middle of nowhere is uglier and more powerful if he actually stayed dead. But his...

What is dead may never quite die the first time on "Game of Thrones."
If ever an episode needed an extra 10 minutes, it's "Game of Thrones" Season 6, Episode 7, "The Broken Man." The June 5 episode was only 51 minutes, the shortest episode of Season 6 since the 50-minute premiere, just starting the Riverrun siege storyline, stabbing Arya Stark, and introducing (then immediately eliminating) an awesome new character.
The good news is that the next three episodes are much longer, including a super-sized finale. But the bad news is the season is already wrapping up right when it's just starting to pick up.
"Deadwood" alum Ian McShane returned to HBO for the one-off episode he spoiled himself as bringing back Sandor Clegane, aka The Hound. His peace-loving septon character, Brother Ray, was like a cross between Septon Meribald and the Elder Brother of the book. It may not entirely excuse the muddled, confusing mess that the Shane McMahon-Undertaker ‘storyline’ has become, but it’s pretty clear that WrestleMania 32’s ‘everything is on the line’ Hell in a Cell match is going to include some wild stunts. It has to, in order to make up for the unimaginative build, right? Besides, Shane’s in the match. For him, falling out of a seventh-story window is merely a transition move.
It wouldn’t be the first time that WrestleMania has seen the action ante’d up with picture-esque carnage. In years past, WWE’s grandest spectacle has been the hub for wrestlers to indelibly etch themselves into wrestling lore through reckless self-sacrifice. Once ladder matches virtually became an annual staple of WrestleMania in some form or another, that was the signature on the permission slip that opened up the floodgates of insanity.

WWE had the added advantage of being able to offer up a completely fresh match on this week’s edition of Thursday Night Smackdown. Aj Styles has been a great addition to the main roster since arriving back in January at the Royal Rumble, whereas Kevin Owens has pretty much been consistently entertaining since making his debut last year. Putting them together seemed like a great idea, but was the actual content of the match up to scratch?
Styles is being prepared for yet another bout opposite Chris Jericho come WrestleMania 32, whilst Owens looks likely to defend the WWE Intercontinental Title against Sami Zayn. Both matches have an exciting feel to them, despite being aired numerous times in the past on shows like Raw, Smackdown and Nxt.
Elsewhere on this week’s Smackdown, there was the promise of seeing Roman Reigns back on the blue brand to discuss...

After dropping a bombshell six weeks out from WrestleMania last week with a Raw that announced two major matches and stoked the flames of a third, it was going to be interesting to see if WWE could (as Michael Cole loves to say) build momentum Monday night.
Not only did Raw not “build momentum,” it demolished the upward swing, jumped in a crater, dug a few feet deeper, and then curled up to take a dirt nap for three hours. If you took Dean Ambrose out of Raw Monday night, you’d have the most unwatchable episode in nearly two years of reviewing the show.
(Fair warning, the writer is suffering from several ailments right now, so some of the gripes might be flu-induced. Still, this was an awful episode of Raw – sick or healthy.)
Raw promised to name a #1 contender for the Divas Championship, which it didn’t deliver.

Four-time WWE Champion Brock Lesnar has been confirmed as an entrant in the 2016 Royal Rumble match on January 24th.
His participation has been made official following this week’s Raw, in which Heyman suggested that the winner of the Rumble face Brock for the title at WrestleMania 32. Vince was reluctant to follow through with such an idea, and instead booked Lesnar to be in the match itself.
Marc Middleton of LordsOfPain.net has also published a prospective list of contestants for the rumble, including all current champions, the entire Wyatt Family, and notable upper-midcard names such as Kevin Owens, Alberto Del Rio, Sheamus, and the recent returnee Chris Jericho.
The list in full;

WWE.com recently ran a poll asking fans which current title they would like to see redesigned. This prompted one of the company’s most decorated Superstars to have his say on the matter.
Should he and his brother D-Von win the titles for a 10th time, Bubba Ray Dudley has revealed that he would want to see the old design – seen above – return.
That is if the tag belts are even considered for a remake. As things stand, The Divas Championship – as you would expect – is currently way out in the lead with 50% of the vote, while the Tag Championships are second with 20%.

Bubba Ray Dudley has sparked rumours of a fourth Ecw original returning to WWE television tonight, after a tweet stating:
‘Just got to #WWECharlotte. Also, just got off phone with an Extreme Brother!! Do Not Miss @WWE #Raw tomorrow night!!’
With the upcoming TLC pay per view only a week away, the possibility of a eight-man match seems high – although the identity of the fourth man remains a mystery. WWE have remained tight-lipped over the return, although a number of ex-superstars can be considered favourites.
Rhyno must be high on the list of suspects, currently working under an Nxt contract, while Sandman has previously tagged with Tommy Dreamer in WWE. Another potential candidate could be former WWE Champion Rob Van Dam, who has a history of working sporadic short-term contracts for Vince McMahon since leaving the company in 2007.

This week’s episode of WWE Smackdown was taped in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Here are the results of what happened.
Smackdown began with Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and The Usos standing in the ring for a promo. Reigns spoke about how those guys were his family. They were interrupted by The League of Nations (Sheamus, King Barrett, Rusev & Alberto Del Rio) followed by The New Day. Sheamus announced that it would be Reigns and friends against The League of Nations. Then New Day said that if Ambrose & The Usos lost to New Day in a match then Reigns had to face The League of Nations in a handicap match.
Tyler Breeze defeated Neville with Summer Rae causing a distraction to help Tyler win. Dolph Ziggler was on commentary for the match. Ziggler beat Breeze clean on Raw, but apparently the feud is continuing.
Becky Lynch was interviewed backstage by Jojo.

Roman Reigns started Smackdown with a promo with a table, ladder and chair in the ring. He was interrupted by WWE Champion Sheamus. Reigns promised that he would get back the WWE Title at TLC.
The Dudley Boyz beat Braun Strowman and Erick Rowan by disqualification because Luke Harper and Bray Wyatt interfered. Harper and Rowan put Bubba Ray Dudley through a table and Strowman choked out D-Von Dudley.

Bubba Ray Dudley and D-Von Dudley will be sticking around WWE as regulars, Dave Meltzer reports on wrestling observer radio.
They reunited as The Dudley Boyz on Monday’s Raw, coming to the ring and taking out The New Day. This will be a main WWE feud going forwards, with the idea of elevating the WWE tag team titles. Both Bubba Ray and D-Von are going to be regulars, and will feature on Smackdown tonight.
“They’re in, they are going to be in there as regulars in the tag team division. They’re going to feud with The New Day,” Meltzer stated.
He then put over how well the return went down, “It got over really big. It is going to elevate the tag titles to a much bigger level.”

A new video posted by IGN has apparently revealed the (almost) full roster for WWE 2K16.
It is common knowledge now that the new game will have a bumper roster of 120 unique characters, but the list below falls a few short of that while Hulk Hogan is still a part of it. The Hulkster has been removed from the game altogether for reasons that you don’t need me to tell you about.
There are a number of shocking inclusions, including Superstars down the pecking order in Nxt and Attitude Era stars who had very little to do with cover star Stone Cold Steve Austin. While there are also a number of notable exclusions, including the Legion of Doom, who seemed to be nailed on for a place in the new title after leaked video footage appeared to show Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler and Jim Ross recording commentary...

WWE wanted to use Bully Ray (former Bubba Ray Dudley in WWE) for a Nxt live event in Philadelphia on May 15, but they changed their mind after he appeared on May 8th’s Tna Impact. It ended up being Tommy Dreamer in the spot as the guy that put over rising Nxt star Baron Corbin in a singles match.
At the time there was a lot of speculation that it would be Ray against Corbin since he was also at WWE’s Royal Rumble back in January. The reason why they went with Dreamer, according to the Wrestling Observer, is because WWE lost interest in Ray after he had a one night only Tna appearance as a guest referee for a match between Kurt Angle and Eric Young.
Dreamer has worked for Tna Wrestling for several months as a backstage agent that sometimes participates in matches and angles.

Bully Ray is going to return to Tna Impact Wrestling at their tapings tonight according to PWInsider.
The former Tna World Champion has been at their Orlando tapings for the past two days working on his comeback. His return will be for a full time run after he made a cameo appearance as a special guest referee for a World Title match between Kurt Angle and Eric Young on May 8.
Ray left Tna last October when his contract, as well as the contract of his partner Brother Devon, expired and they felt like trying other things.

Last year’s Royal Rumble event was a controversial one, with Daniel Bryan’s name being chanted throughout the rumble-match itself which was won by a returning Batista.
