Slr Productions is set to begin work on new animated adventure series The Skinner Boys for broadcasters Nine Network Australia and Srtl.
The series is about the three teenage grandsons of world explorer Augustus Skinner, who has died, leaving them his old mansion and its contents. The Skinner boys soon discover that they are now guardians of the lost secrets: a collection of unique artefacts across the world that possess incredible powers.
Slr Productions chief executive and series' executive producer Suzanne Ryan said she was thrilled to be working with several top-notch companies including co-production partners Telegael, Top Draw Animation; Home Plate Entertainment; and Zdf Enterprises, which is handling international sales.

Writer Steve Lyons has confirmed that Metallo will not feature as a villain in his upcoming Steel #1 as previously solicited. DC originally announced that the Superman villain would appear in the one-shot, before confirming that the title marks the return of the alien monstrosity Doomsday. Speaking to Newsarama, the scribe explained that the armour-clad hero will only battle Doomsday in the book. "No Metallo anymore, I'm afraid.
