- Actress and coloratura soprano, trained for singing by Queena Maria, prima donna of the New York Metropolitan Opera Company. Began as a vocalist for NBC radio. Entered films after coming to the attention of studio boss Jack Warner. Best known in films for her role as a chorus girl in the Warner Brothers backstage musical "Stage Struck". After leaving showbiz, she became proprietor of the family boarding house, known as "Holland Hotel".
