A name has been attached to the man who opened fire at a Newtown, Conn., elementary school, killing 27 people. Twenty-seven people are now dead after a horrific shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., on Dec. 14 — and after officials incorrectly identified Ryan Lanza as the gunman responsible for the senseless killings, the Associated Press reports it was, in fact, Ryan's younger brother Adam Lanza. Adam, 20, died on the scene; officials tell the AP he was killed by a self-inflicted gunshot. Almost immediately after Ryan Lanza's name was incorrectly announced on national television, thousands of Facebook users shared what they believed to be his profile picture on their own timelines, attaching comments like "Here's the piece of s**t shooter" and "This is the guy who killed those kids." A Twitter account believed to belong to Ryan also gained more than a thousand followers following the release of Ryan's name.
