John & his wife, Kelly Curtis, operate "Liberty Films" - a documentary production company focusing on Idaho Americana.
Started as a story editor at Chestnut Hill Productions, and worked his way up to V.P., Executive Producer & (eventually) Producer over his 16 years of employment.
Developed the first digital video production program in Nevada (at the College of Southern Nevada) form 2000 to 2010. (He is a Professor Emeritus of CSN.).
Worked for Richard Casey making early-MTV music videos (for Blue Oyster Cult, Romeo Void, Aldo Nova, The Angry Samoans etc.).
Worked in political/experimental theater from 1966-1980 (Theater for Peace, The Berkeley Rep Company, Sunseed Repertory Collective, The Theater (of Rhinebeck,NY,) and The San Francisco Mime Troupe.).
