Charmed is one of the biggest shows of the ’90s and ’00s.
The series, which premiered on The WB for eight seasons from October 1998 through May of 2006, centers around three sisters with unique magical powers, also known as the Charmed Ones, who are the most powerful good witches in the world. Using their powers (the Power of Three!), they protect the world from evil.
The first three seasons featured Prue (Shannen Doherty), Piper (Holly Marie Combs) and Phoebe Halliwell (Alyssa Milano) as the trio, until Shannen left in 2001, being replaced by Rose McGowan as the long-lost younger half-sister Paige Matthews in Season 4.
By 2018, the series got a reboot at The CW, which ran for four seasons until May of 2022.

The saga of what really happened on the set of Charmed has another new chapter. Buckle up, it’s a lot of back and forth.
Shannen Doherty, Rose McGowan and Holly Marie Combs sat side by side on the main stage at MegaCon Orlando on Sunday. As the panel came to a close, Doherty pulled out a cellphone to read a statement. At one point, the actress fought back tears as she responded to claims made two days earlier at the same convention by fellow Charmed star Alyssa Milano, who blasted Doherty and Combs for crafting “revisionist history” in blaming Milano for Doherty’s firing at the end of season three in 2001.
“A lot of things have been said, and a lot of them very hurtful,” Doherty said in reference to her hard-to-follow saga with Milano. During an episode of Doherty’s Let’s Be Clear podcast in December, she...

When Prue Halliwell was killed off in the third season of Charmed, there was only one name to blame as far as fans were concerned. No, it wasn’t Shax but rather Alyssa Milano, whose reported behind-the-scenes feud with Shannon Doherty led to her onscreen sister dying in the season finale, “All Hell Breaks Loose.” Now, Milano is speaking out against the claim, saying she didn’t even have the pull to have someone removed from the show.
In an Instagram post, Alyssa Milano wrote of the allegations against her over the Charmed drama, “This was so long ago that any retelling of these stories from anyone is just revisionist history. I will add, though, with absolute certainty-everything was documented. There was a professional mediator (I was told Holly [Marie Combs] and Shannen would not participate in any mediation) and an on-set producer/babysitter who were both brought in to investigate all claims.

The midseason finale has finally come upon us!
Charmed (2018) Season 1 Episode 9 is all about going against the odds as Macy refuses to let destiny get in the way of her potential relationship with Galvin, and Mel seeks Harry’s guidance after learning information that leaves her questioning everything she knows.
After a few episodes of introducing us to the world and showing sisterhood at its finest, we have finally seen the trio facing each other in a fight. On Christmas Day!
Although the fight wasn’t technically Macy versus Maggie and Mel, it was still nice to see it play out visually.
The first few minutes were boring. There was more talking than action, and the conversation wasn't remarkable. It was just a simple chit-chat from characters to fill in the time.
Fortunately, once the action started, it was all we needed.

Charmed fans can now get all the information on the newest magical trio who’ll be at the center of the reboot.
TVLine reported the casting breakdowns of three sisters in a college town who suddenly discover they are witches. Among the sisters is Mel Pruitt who is dating female Detective Soo Jin.
Mel is also a “strong-willed feminist” who experiences a tragic accident that leaves her angry and unable to deal with her emotions, which might cause some problems with her time-freezing abilities.
Madison Pruitt is Mel’s younger sister who is “horrified” to learn of her witch abilities — hearing people’s thoughts.

Multiple sources, including Variety, report that The CW has ordered a pilot episode for a potential new Charmed series with the following description:
"This fierce, funny, feminist reboot of the original series centers on three sisters in a college town who discover they are witches. Between vanquishing supernatural demons, tearing down the patriarchy, and maintaining familial bonds, a witch’s work is never done."

The supernatural CBS TV series "Charmed", showcased the magic of the 'Charmed Ones' from 1998 to 2006, as the 'Power of Three' survived demons, warlocks, sorcerers and failed romances. Now, with an ongoing comic book series and a "Charmed" TV reboot in development at The CW, just how would 'The Power of Three' fare in the world of 2017 ? :
Would their eccentric behaviour protecting innocents from demonic harm be documented in an errant tweet, or to an 'Instagram' follower ? While their witch side would keep family and friends at bay, could demons start trolling them on 'Facebook' ?
Would 'Phoebe' (Alyssa Milano) get a premonition from a tweet?
Would the 'freezing time' of 'Piper' (Holly Marie Combs) affect a 'Snapchat' video? Could their cell phones pick up signals from the 'Underworld'?
The original "Charmed" cast also included actress Shannen Doherty as 'Prue Halliwell', for the first 3 seasons of the series and Rose McGowan.

We take a look back at the original Charmed, and what made it so special...
The premise for Charmed must have sounded simple - a female-centric show about three witches living in San Francisco that would cash in on the success of Buffy The Vampire Slayer on the still-new WB network. They wouldn’t just be witches, but also sisters, relatable across demographics with Prue (Shannen Doherty) - the late-20s sensible one, Piper (Holly Marie Combs) - the neurotic middle sister, and Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) - the wayward college dropout.

Could the "Power of Three" be reignited? Fans of Charmed might be pleased (or very displeased) to hear that a reimagining of the late ’90s/early 2000s series is in the works at The CW.

Rose McGowan wrote former “Charmed” star Shannen Doherty a letter of support during her battle with breast cancer, and blamed “truly vile” Hollywood for any rivalry they may have had in the past. “As young women we were pitted against each other for society’s pleasure,” McGowan wrote in an Instagram post, featuring an illustration of the two actresses. “The rules of Hollywood engagement brainwashed into us were truly vile. The men & brainwashed women in our business made it so we couldn’t be friends, I regret that.” McGowan starred as Paige Matthews in “Charmed” after Doherty’s character left the show in 2001 following alleged.

Rose McGowan has opened up about her acting career and her love life.
The actress, who is best known for her role as Paige Matthews in Charmed, told Fault magazine in a revealing interview that she has had some tough experiences on set.
Asked if she has ever done a movie she later disliked, McGowan said: "Tell Tale. And there are more where that came from. It's very hard to make a film that comes together on all levels.
"It's like painting with 100 paintbrushes that are held by individual egos. Also, I've worked with some not so nice people. Such a drag. If I have a troubling experience, I won't watch the product."
McGowan, who was engaged to both musician Marilyn Manson and director Robert Rodriguez, was also asked how it felt to have her personal life reported on.
"Well, I feel it's lazy when 'journalists' dredge up past relationships.

As reported earlier, CBS is considering doing a new version of the Charmed TV series. The original ran for eight seasons on The WB network before ending in 2006.
Rose McGowan joined the cast as sister Paige Matthews in the fourth season, following Shannen Doherty's departure at the end of season three.
McGowan, like many fans, isn't crazy about the idea of remaking Charmed. Via Twitter, she wrote, "They really are running out of ideas in Hollywood." and then, "lame lame lame lamertons".
What do you think? Do you agree with McGowan? Is there any way that a new version of Charmed could work?...

Previously on Once Upon A Time: Cora traipsed through time and space, dispensing evil where'er she went; including but not limited to poisoning Snow White's mother and then offering Young Snow the chance to trade someone else's life for her mother's, all because she wanted her daughter to someday be queen. And you thought Dance Moms were intense.
We open on Paige Matthews looking bedraggled and dirty — wait, am I watching Charmed? Oh, no, Ok. That's not Paige. It's Young Cora, pushing a cart and yelling to awaken her drunk father, who is sleeping on the sacks of flour that were supposed to be delivered to the castle. She takes this task upon herself instead, but while she's making the delivery, a pretty little princess dressed all in pink trips her and white powder goes everywhere. Young Cora hisses out some insults at her,...

Rose McGowan played one of TV's most iconic witches on The CW's Charmed, and now, 7 years later, she's getting back on the broom (metaphorically speaking) to bring Young Cora to life on Sunday's all-new episode of Once Upon A Time.
The episode, titled The Miller's Daughter, not only reveals her long history with Rumple, but how Cora became the powerful witch she is today. ETonline caught up with McGowan to talk about her TV return, how it felt to be working against a greenscreen again and what's been the most lovely side-effect of playing Paige Matthews.
ETonline: Were you previously a fan of the show?
Rose McGowan: I had seen the show, but not been able to follow it because of traveling. Ginnifer Goodwin owns my old house, so we've always been friendly -- then the creators, invited me into their office and asked if I'd ever consider doing something on their show, and I wanted...

Rose McGowan is in negotiations to star in the CBS miniseries Elvis, a biopic of the King of Rock 'n' Roll. McGowan will play Ann-Margret, Elvis Presley's co-star in the 1964 film Viva Las Vegas, whose romance with the King during and after the making of the film created a stir and put a strain on his relationship with future wife Priscilla Beaulieu. Ann-Margret, an Oscar-nominated actress and accomplished singer who was often referred as the female Elvis for her energetic performances, went on to become lifelong friends with Presley, with the two sending each other gifts and attending each other's shows until his death in 1977. Ann-Margret also attended Presley's funeral in Memphis. CBS launched a nationwide talent search for the title role in the mini, which still has not been cast. Randy Quaid was previously tapped to play Presley's manager Colonel Tom Parker. McGowan stars as Paige Matthews on the WB's Network drama Charmed. She is repped by UTA and Untitled Entertainment.
