The Doctor Who star tells Screen why she was forced to ditch the Tupperware Party title.
New cast details and a change in title have been announced for Karen Gillan’s directing debut, backed by fledgling Us production outfit Mt. Hollywood Films.
The film, which Gillan also wrote and stars in, was previously called Tupperware Party but has reverted to working title Untitled Original Drama.
Gillan explained to Screen why she was forced to change the name.
“The title is currently in limbo”, she said. “Basically we had a title [Tupperware Party] and then realised that it was a brand name. That’s actually the name of the company that makes those tubs, so currently we’re deciding on a new title. I’m kind of digging the idea that we have to figure out a new title. I do believe that obstacles in creative situations often result in a better idea so I’m hoping that’s the case...

Trick or Treat Studios has released some fantastic masks over the years, including a number of masks based on the Halloween series. They continue to expand into other horror properties and they’ve revealed an officially licensed mask based on the Rv Screwdriver Walker from The Walking Dead:
“In the Season Two Opener “What Lies Ahead”, the survivors are heading towards Fort Benning when they are stopped by a massive pileup on the highway. As they work out various personal problems amongst one another a large herd of Walkers passes through the area. Rick, Lori, Shane, Dale and the rest are forced to keep quiet and hide quietly while the herd passes by. However, one of the herd shambles on board Dale’s Rv where Andrea is hidden quietly in the bathroom. Andrea makes a little too much noise and the Rv Zombie eventually fights his way in. After a brief struggle,...

Ever since college-bound Mike Wazowski (voice of Billy Crystal) was a little monster, he has dreamed of becoming a professional Scarer—and he knows better than anyone that the best Scarers come from Monsters University (Mu). But during his first semester at Mu, Mike’s plans are derailed when he crosses paths with hotshot Mu legacy James P. Sullivan, “Sulley” (voice of John Goodman), a natural-born Scarer. The pair’s out-of-control competitive spirit gets them both kicked out of the University’s elite Scare Program. To make matters worse, they realize they will have to work together, along with an odd bunch of misfit monsters, if they ever hope to make things right.
Screaming with laughter and oozing with heart, Disney•Pixar’s Monsters University is directed by Dan Scanlon (“Cars,” “Mater and the Ghostlight,” “Tracy”), produced by Kori Rae (“Up,” “The Incredibles,” “Monsters, Inc.”) and executive produced by John Lasseter.

It's a little weird to watch a trailer for an upcoming Disney cartoon like "Planes" and hear among the characters the voice of Dane Cook. What's a typically adults-only comic like Cook doing in the G-rated world of a Disney animated feature?
Well, maybe it's not that weird. After all, the family-friendly studio has a history, going back 60 years, of casting performers from the world of grown-up entertainment in its cartoons, and most have proved they can be fun and kid-safe in fantasy worlds far from smoky nightclubs. In fact, Disney and Pixar's classic cartoons are full of unlikely voice actors -- not just blue comics but also performers cast radically against type, and even people not considered actors at all.
Cook, then, joins a distinguished list of stars you'd never have expected to find in a Disney cartoon feature, as you can see from the gallery below.

Eli Craig is in negotiations to direct Sony’s planned Zombieland comedy series…
The casting call went out last week, and now Tucker & Dale vs. Evil director Eli Craig is in talks to direct the in-development Zombieland TV show that Amazon plans to make its streaming service’s first original scripted series.
Currently in negotiations to helm the light-hearted take on the zombie apocalypse, Craig would be a supremely sensible fit in our eyes, not least because in 2011, he ranked Zombieland as his fifth favourite horror comedy, a top ten list that also included Dead Snow, Attack of the Killer Tomatoes!, Hatchet, Slither, Behind The Mask: The Rise Of Leslie Vernon, Young Frankenstein, Evil Dead II, Ghostbusters and, at number one, Shaun Of The Dead.
Here’s what he had to say about the Ruben Fleischer-directed film:
"Zombieland was just one of these fun rides.

"The Walking Dead" will be stumbling and moaning back onto your television tonight, with the long-awaited premiere of its highly-anticipated third season. But before we ready our weapons and bar our doors for the next round of zombie shenanigans, it's time for a trip down memory lane — with a brief roundup of what was going on when we last hung out with Rick's merry band of misfit survivors in Season 2, and some guesses at where the next installment of the series might lead.
Read on for our "Walking Dead" cheat sheet!
So Long, Sofia
The endless (and, frankly, kinda boring) hunt for Carol's missing daughter was one of last season's most-maligned plot points... that is, until she stumbled out of Hershel's barn with a newfound thirst for human flesh and Rick shot her in the face. Whoa! We take back everything bad we said about you,...

150: Session 9
Directed by Brad Anderson
Written by Stephen Gevedon and Brad Anderson
2001, USA
If there was ever a perfect setting for a horror movie, it would be the abandoned Danvers State Mental Hospital. Built in 1878 on an isolated site in rural Massachusetts, it was a multi-acre, self-contained psychiatric hospital rumoured to have been the birthplace of the pre-frontal lobotomy. The hospital was the setting for the 2001 horror film Session 9, where an asbestos clean-up crew discover a series of nine tapes, which have recorded a patient with multiple personalities, all of which are innocent, except for number nine. With a shoestring budget and no real special effects, Session 9...

Representatives from our women's team include District 12's Katniss Everdeen of "The Hunger Games" whose chief competitor for the gold is Scotland's Princess Merida of "Brave." The latest list in sound of sights month long look at the greatest horror films ever is taking a different look on the horror genre. There is a very narrow line that divides finding something funny and scary, which is exactly the sort of film this list is celebrating. As a genre there is two ways you can address the comedy horror. The first and the much more popular route is comedy about horror, these films rarely attempt to attain any qualities other than a comedic jibe at the genre. If you were to pick one classic example it would be Young Frankenstein – a film that satirises early horror and Frankenstein in what is close to comedy perfection (the Gene Wilder effect). The contemporary take on the genre has given the world some of the worst films of recent times in the Scary Movie franchise and its brood of mutant off-shoots.

I’m not a big fan of the horror genre. I don’t care for horror films, TV shows, novels or anything like that. But I do have an understanding of the genre and the roots that it has in something I really do enjoy: German expressionist cinema.
German expressionist cinema is a type of film that highlights bizarre sets, unusual angles, dark shadows, strange people and strange places. Mental illness was often a feature of the stories in one form or another. Expressionism got its start in Germany in 1913 with The Student of Prague, but it didn’t really take off and come into its own until after World War I. Though the Expressionist movement was largely dead after 1933 (not coincidentally the year that the Nazis came to power in Germany), it nevertheless created vibe that resonates throughout film today, inspiring, in whole or in part, such genres as...

Like a fat man lying down on a wide wall, the horror-comedy is a notoriously difficult thing to pull off. But that didn’t stop debut director Eli Craig making Tucker and Dale vs. Evil, a humorous twist on the crazed hillbilly genre which opens in theatres this Friday (and is currently available on VOD).
We asked Craig to list his top five movies which combine things-that-go-bump-in-the-night with things-that-make-him-laugh-until-he pukes.

Sometimes Pixar casts really famous actors in their starring roles. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen voice Woody and Buzz in the Toy Story trilogy. Owen Wilson lends his pipes to the Cars franchise. The main monsters in Monsters Inc. sound like Billy Crystal and John Goodman. More often than not, though, Pixar.s confident enough to go with unexpected talents because they fit the part, whether it be Albert Brooks as Marlin in Finding Nemo or the bleeps and blips of iconic sound designer Ben Burtt for Wall-e. So the news that the studio.s working with Serenity and Firefly player Alan Tudyk isn.t much of a shock. Now we just want to know in what capacity he and Pixar are collaborating. We have six months to go and a lot of movies left to watch, and as was evidenced by the six films I included in my "Top Ten of the Year Contenders" on yesterday's The Best and Worst Movies of 2011... So Far post, there haven't been a ton of excellent films in theaters just yet. Three of those six films I saw at the Cannes Film Festival and only one of them has hit theaters so far (Midnight in Paris). This means we have to wash away the taste of the last six months. Sure, there were some good films and films we will all likely revisit over the years, but I think we can all generally agree 2011 hasn't exactly been a stellar year for movies.
So what's coming up? Well, I was able to compile a list of the top 21 (plus three) films I'm personally looking forward to seeing.

Ever since forming in Suffolk in 1991, Dani Filth's Cradle of Filth have been one of England’s highest profile extreme metal bands. Over the years their musical style has evolved from a classic black metal sound to a cleaner, more "produced" mixture of Gothic metal, symphonic black metal and other extreme metal styles. Thematically the band’s imagery has pretty much remained the same: one that is heavily influenced by Gothic literature, poetry, mythology, sex and horror films.
