The Iron Claw made its debut last night at the Texas Theater in Dallas last night. The city was chosen to be the location of the premiere in honor of the Von Erichs, who started their professional wrestling careers in the city. Kevin Von Erich and his family had been in attendance along with the film’s stars Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, who portrays David Von Erich, Stanley Simons, who plays Mike Von Erich, Holt McCallany, who portrays Fritz Von Erich and Maura Tierney, who stars as the matriarch, Doris Von Erich. Director Sean Durkin would also appear alongside his cast at the premiere. The Iron Claw reactions paint an intense picture of Durkin’s new film. Steel yourselves for emotions!

Let’s get this unpleasantness out of the way: Kevin (Probably) Saves the World is a terrible title. It’s too cutesy by half — has any show with parentheses in the title ever survived to see a Season 2? — and also misleading, seeming to promise some kind of epic, globe-spanning battle of good vs. evil. ABC’s new dramedy (premiering Tuesday, Oct. 3 at 10/9c) is most assuredly not that… but it’s not bad, either, thanks to a sweet soulfulness and a thoroughly charming lead performance from Jason Ritter.

Preschool sweethearts Amy Giberson and Justin Pounders have tied the knot!
The couple first met as toddlers at Sunshine Pre-k in St. Petersburg, Florida, where they shared a “shy” schoolyard romance playing tag and building blocks together. But like many first loves, they drifted apart when they attended different elementary, middle and high schools. Eventually, forgetting about each other altogether.
That is until 30 years later when Pounders, 34, ran across, Giberson, 34, on an online dating website. It was only after a year of dating that the couple realized they had been childhood loves at Sunshine Pre-k so many years ago.

Rep. Louis Gohmert gets slammed over heaven, Fratmen star Jesse Blum comes to E!, Faking It promises multiple relationships for Shane in season two
Congratulations to Sirens on USA, which got a second season order from the cable network. Sirens has the distinction of being the only new sitcom last year that I watched the entire season, and the Season Pass still exists on my TiVo.
The Anthem, the off-Broadway musical by Gary Morgenstein based on the Ayn Rand work, that I recommended a couple of months ago is getting raves from the New York Times, calling it “exuberant: with “dazzling trimmings.”
If you want to talk about Faking It outside of the Amy/Karma/Liam relationship, Carter Covington says Shane will get some screen time of his own next season. “I’m excited to explore Shane in relationships. And I say plural because I think Shane is going to be a little like Goldilocks,...
