Gary Barlow used an autocue for his live 'X Factor' performance on Sunday night (15.12.13). The show judge took to the stage with Sir Elton John in the series finale for their 'Face to Face' duet, but they both required on-screen prompts to help them with the lyrics. The 42-year-old singer has since been branded a ''hypocrite'' on Twitter by fans after he slammed wannabe star Tamera Foster for forgetting her words twice during the live shows. But, "money alone does not a dynasty make," writes T&C contributor Richard McGill Murphy, in a short intro explaining how the list was compiled. "You need multiple generations and some other good qualities -- taste, say, or generosity -- to reach the top of the social heap."
That sounds like a far cry from the early days of American social prominence -- the Gilded Age -- when 400 white Protestants ran the show, though Murphy says many of the drivers...
