- Sally was hiking in the Hollywood Hills during a day of record-breaking heat that peaked at 111º. Having a history of seizures, she was overcome by the heat and collapsed, dying of hyperthermia. She was found early the following morning in Beachwood Canyon on the west side of Griffith Park.
