Sony and Ghost House most recently teamed on Alvarez’s $97.5 million grossing 2013 Evil Dead reboot. Raimi and Tapert are producers on A Man In The Dark, while J.R. Young, Nathan Kahane and Joe Drake will executive produce. Erin Westerman will oversee for the company. Wme Global negotiated the deal on behalf of Alvarez with Dark and Michael Meyer for Ghost House and Jon Freedberg, Michael Helfand and Joe Matukewicz for Spwa.

The Brides of Dracula
Directed by Terence Fisher
Written by Jimmy Sangster, Peter Bryan & Edward Percy
UK, 1960
After the success of Horror of Dracula (1958), it only made sense to make a sequel. The Brides of Dracula tells the story of a young Marianne who happens to stay the night at a baroness’ castle only to discover her host’s dashing son is locked up in an adjacent wing. Feeling sorry for the Baron Meinster, she releases him from his bonds with no clue that she just unleashed a vampire to wreak havoc on all the ladies of Transylvania. It’s a psycho-sexual scenario peppered with mommy issues that Hitchcock would certainly appreciate – his film Psycho was released the same year as Brides.
David Peel doesn’t have the same animalistic ferocity as Christopher Lee’s Count Dracula, instead he plays Baron Meinster as the Prince Charming-type who is probably slipping...

After more than 50 years since first shocking the film industry and audiences’ psychological inadequacies, Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho is still marveled as being the archetypal foundation for modern-day horror films, as well as the driving force behind today’s censorship standards. Since its release in 1960, Psycho’s mass appeal undoubtedly comes from its atypical iconic elements. From drawing sympathy toward evil, creating violence with the lack of imagery, and using the camera to manipulate the audience’s point of view, Psycho has unquestionably marked itself as an influential, timeless classic in the eyes of both filmmakers and fans alike.

Universal Studios is in talks to turn the one-act musical into a feature film directed by Michael Meyer, who directed the Broadway show. The screenwriter Dustin Lance Black, who recently wrote 'J. Contemplating the end of Summer, the leaves turning, the air chilling and the sky darkening? Dreading school starting, work increasing and the New Year already to whispering? Fear not, fellow doorQ. For I, Tannhauser Gate, have found something for us all to look forward to: a bevy of beautiful, shirtless men in September's Sf films.
I thought I'd throw out some of the latest PR, paparazzi and magazine flicks, letting you know what you have to look forward to during this fall:
First up is Nick Zano, currently fleeing Death, in the hit The Final Destination. He kicked Michael Meyer's ass last week. That's hot:
Gerard Butler as the hottest video game character you can play with, in Friday's Gamer. Makes you glad that controller vibrates, don't it? Ben Barnes in the September 9th release of Dorian Gray. The picture in the attic is ugly. I don't like attics.
