In 2015, Mad Max: Fury Road won our HeyUGuys poll by One Vote. That’s a scenario we never thought would play out again, but this year’s race was again tightly contested with two films battling it out for the number 1 spot; Dunkirk and Get Out.
It wasn’t until the last of the 187 entries was counted that we had a winner, and in the end it was Jordan Peele’s directorial debut – which 93 writers had in their top 10 lists – that won out over Christopher Nolan’s war epic. It’s official – Get Out is the best movie of 2017.
Check out the full breakdown below… and click here to see the winners from previous years.
The Top Ten 1. Get Out – 93 votes
2. Dunkirk – 92 votes
3. La La Land – 69 votes
4. Blade Runner 2049 – 63 votes
5. Paddington 2 – 62 votes
6. Moonlight – 59 votes
7. Logan – 54 votes
8. Star Wars: The Last Jedi – 52 votes

The fifth film in the "Mission: Impossible" series, 'Rogue Nation,' had its world premiere in Vienna earlier this week ahead of a global launch late next week.
The series has had a rocky history though there's no question that the John Woo-directed second film is seen as an outright dud. Whether Brian DePalma's espionage-oriented first film or J.J. Abrams action-driven third film is better depends upon whom you talk to though both seem to be pretty close.
What is clear is that Brad Bird's fourth film, "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol," was a winner both with audiences and critics - garnering good reviews and way more box-office than any of the previous entries, revitalising the brand.
The good news is reviews for 'Rogue Nation' so far indicate writer/director Christopher McQuarrie has continued the uptick in quality and has delivered something at least on par -...

Just when you thought there was nowhere else for "Gangnam Style" to go, the viral dance craze went to the Super Bowl.
Not surprisingly, Twitter was abuzz with the news that Korean viral sensation Psy starred in a Super Bowl ad for Wonderful Pistachios.
There have been words of glee…
#Psy airhumping a pistachio. Perhaps the best commercial of the night. #superbowl47

I'd like to think Warner Bros.' decision to make a supernatural action movie starring Leonardo Da Vinci has nothing to do with The Da Vinci Code, the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles reboot or even this thing. Instead, I want this to have been inspired by Hudson Hawk, which is certainly a cult classic now and can rightly be considered something worth inspiring other stuff.
At the very least I hope the makers of Leonardo Da Vinci and the Soldiers of Forever (yes, that's the real treatment title) realized there's something more to be done with the historical figure's before-its-time flying machine than putting Bruce Willis and Andie MacDowell in it. Though, I guess it's very likely that Willis (or Nic Cage) will end up being cast in this thing. MacDowell looks more the part, though, given that she looks more like the Mona Lisa, which we all know...

After all the trouble they've had with Wolfman, you'd think Universal would just decide to leave its classic monsters alone. But if you'd think that you'd be an idiot, because all the studio needs to do is look at the success of the Mummy movies, the success of the Twilight movies and the eon of time since the last official Dracula movie to know it's time to dust off the ol' Bram Stoker once again. Seriously, there are kids whose parents weren't even alive when Coppola's movie was in theaters.
So who is Universal getting to play the Count this time? Well, Latino Review says it's going to be Avatar's Sam Worthington. I'm not going to bother saying what I think of the idea, since I'm guessing the only truth to the rumor is that someone at Universal brought his name up. Because his name has been brought up...

Here are some facts:
Every film franchise that hasn't yet had a Part 3 will eventually be rumored to be getting one. Every one of these rumored threequels will "reportedly" be "said" to be getting the 3D treatment, which is the only reason the studio wants to make said threequel. Joe Dante has made a 3D film you've never seen called The Hole, which has been named the best 3D film of 2009 by a jury at the Venice Film Festival. Joe Dante loves movie theater gimmicks, as evidenced with his William Castle homage Matinee. Joe Dante is one of the most underrated filmmakers of our generation, and he deserves more work.
Now here is something an unreliable website probably made up based on all those facts:
"I have very good information from a top source that tells me another Gremlins movie is coming to the silver screens and it will be in stereoscopic 3D!

ScreenTerrier just posted the casting news featuring Liam Boyle and Alfie Allen, both young actors are cast in "a film adaptation of Kevin Sampson's rock and roll novel "Powder" about a small time band that makes it big in the music industry and succumbs to all the evils it has to offer." - - - I've heard a lot about both actors, and my research made me discover a movie called Awaydays, starring Boyle and another young actor, Nicky Bell. I've watched Green Street Hooligans (Charlie Hunnam was superb!) because I love football and I'm fascinated of the sub-culture created by many football fans. Awaydays seem to have a similar theme and so, it piqued my curiosity...
