- Left Nelson in the late 1990s, along with fellow members Joey Cathcart (guitar), Brett Gersed (guitar) and Bobby Rock (drums). The departures left twin brothers Matthew Nelson (bass guitar, vocals) and Gunnar Nelson (guitar, vocals) as the group's only members. Gunnar Nelson said the departures were due to lack of touring and that he and Matthew keep in touch with their former band mates and consider them family.
- On the "After the Rain" tour, Nelson performed in sports arenas opening for Cinderella in a three act set opened by Lynch Mob.
- "Imaginator", which has a sound similar to "After the Rain," was actually recorded before "Because They Can" but Geffen Records refused to release it. The company forced the band to record an entirely new album that fit in more with the grunge/alternative invasion that took place shortly after the success of "After the Rain." "Imaginator" was released in 1996 by Nelson's then newly formed Stone Canyon Records.
