- Tina Modotti was born on August 16, 1896 in Udine, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy. She was an actress, known for The Tiger's Coat (1920), I Can Explain (1922) and Riding with Death (1921). She died on January 6, 1942 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico.
- Became a famous photographer and took part in struggles for defense of the rights of poor Mexican peones. Allegedly her death was ordered by Stalin and arranged by her lover of that period, the italian communist Vittorio Vidali.
