If you’re ready for a little Christmas cheer, Disney has released the new trailer for The Santa Clauses season 2. The new season finds the Calvin family back in the North Pole as Scott (Tim Allen) continues his role as Santa Claus after his retirement plans were thwarted when he failed to find a worthy successor in the first season. Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal to take over the family business as Santa Claus, but there are a few things standing in his way.

Before watching Coming 2 America, try to think of some successful comedy sequels. If the best you can conjure up is Wayne’s World 2 or 22 Jump Street then that really speaks for itself, doesn’t it? More difficult than the traditional comedy sequel is the many-years-too-late variety of retread. Just ask Zoolander 2 or Dumb and Dumber To. Rehashing the same jokes and running them into the ground, reusing the old beloved catchphrases, and hitting the same story beats typically set comedy sequels up for failure, no matter how nostalgic audiences may be for the original. For every Borat 2, there are 10 Hangover 2s.
The team behind Coming 2 America knows this. They even acknowledge it with a joke in the movie. It’s obvious that the everyone involved with Coming 2 America, including returning stars Eddie Murphy and Arsenio Hall, director Craig Brewer, and screenwriters Kenya Barris, Barry W. Blaustein,...

Scoob! arrived on VOD over the weekend, allowing fans and families to tuck into the first big budget Scooby-Doo movie in 16 years. That wasn’t the only appeal, though, as the animated film is also stuffed full of other classic Hanna-Barbera characters. Alongside Mystery Incorporated themselves – Fred (Zac Efron), Daphne (Amanda Seyfried), Velma (Gina Rodriguez), Shaggy (Will Forte) and Scooby (Frank Welker) – there’s the likes of Blue Falcon (Mark Wahlberg), Dynomutt (Ken Jeong), Captain Caveman (Tracey Morgan) and Dee-Dee Sykes (Kiersey Clemons).
As you’d imagine, Warner Bros. has big plans for Scoob! to be expanded into a new franchise, assuming it does well. This is something that the filmmakers behind it are excited for, too. In an interview with Den of Geek, director Tony Cervone talked about how he saw Scoob! not just as an adaptation of the Scooby-Doo world, but as a whole other alternate universe populated by Hb creations.

Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? Well, right here, actually, as our first look at the classic cartoon character’s redesign for the upcoming animated movie reboot of Mystery Inc.’s adventures has leaked online.
Unlike the live-action films from 2002 and 2004, which some felt featured a Scooby that was weirder-looking than the monsters, the reboot – titled Scoob – will star a very traditional take on the loveable talking dog. As well as looking the same as ever, Scooby will sound the same as ever, too, as he’ll be portrayed by longtime voice actor Frank Welker, who’s been with the franchise ever since it began in 1969.
Filling out the rest of those meddling kids, however, will be a new list of big names including Zac Efron as Fred Jones, Amanda Seyfried as Daphne Blake, Gina Rodriguez as Velma Dinkley and Will Forte as Shaggy Rogers.

A star is born, but we’re not talking about Lady Gaga just yet.
Tiffany Haddish returned to multiplexes, this time around with Kevin Hart, for her first co-lead role since the breakout hit “Girls Trip.” The 2017 raunchy comedy with Queen Latifah and Jada Pinkett Smith struck a chord with moviegoers and picked up a number of accolades, launching Haddish into superstardom. It’s already been a banner year for the bawdy entertainer, and audiences were eager to see Haddish back on the big screen.
She didn’t disappoint. “Night School” launched with a solid $28 million, notching the best opening for a broad comedy in 2018. Universal’s “Night School” reunited Haddish with “Girls Trip” director Malcolm D. Lee and producer Will Packer, but this attempt didn’t leave quite the same impression on critics. That didn’t matter. Though the longtime box office draw of Hart can’t be discredited,...

Tracy Morgan heckling anyone would make for kind of a rough night it seems, but Jimmy Fallon pushes through as he sings River of Dreams and doesn’t falter that much. To be honest the attempt at heckling was kind of clunky and didn’t come off all that amusing as Tracy Morgan’s comedies usually do. Something seems to indicate that Morgan needs a backup in his attempt to be funny sometimes, as he’s not the standalone comic that some other folks are. Of course you could argue that Fallon is kind of the same way. They’re both funny, but they’re a
