BERLIN -- George Michael was the big attraction Wednesday at the Berlin International Film Festival as he put his faith in the fest to launch George Michael: A Different Story, a frank documentary about his life and career from British director Southan Morris. News-agency reports interpreted the 41-year-old singer's comments during the conference as announcing his retirement. But Michael scotched that version at an evening cocktail in the city's Newton Bar. "They (the press) already said that a year ago," he said in an interview. However, Michael did say that he was bored with the current pop scene, which he described as "a wasteland," and said that he is looking for a new musical direction.
