Toronto -- Turner Broadcasting has picked up the Canadian tween comedy "Connor Undercover" for broadcast in Britain in early 2010, Shaftesbury Sales Co. said Tuesday.
Toronto-based Shaftesbury's production arm, Shaftesbury Films, co-produces the live-action series with the Heroic Film Co.
Family Channel in Canada commissioned an initial 13 half-hours of the kids series about a 15 year-old spy buff, played by Max Morrow, who finds intrigue when the first daughter of a small island nation, performed by Lola Tash, comes into his life.
"Connor Undercover" was created by John May and Suzanne Bolch of Heroic Film Co.
Co-producer Shaftesbury Films earlier sold the Canadian drama "The Listener" to NBC and Fox International.
Shaftesbury Sales Co. is shopping the series worldwide.

Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio, Jennifer Ehle, Tim DeKay and Henry Czerny have been cast opposite Amber Tamblyn in The Russell Girl, a Hallmark Hall of Fame movie for CBS that is entering production in Toronto.
The movie centers on Sarah Russell (Tamblyn), a 23-year-old aspiring medical school student who makes a rare visit to her small hometown to share some important news with her family but instead finds herself attempting to confront her past.
Mastrantonio and DeKay will play her parents, while Ehle and Czerny will play a couple who live across the street from her family.
Rounding out the cast are Daniel Clark as Russell's brother, Paul Wesley as an ex-boyfriend and Ben Lewis and Max Morrow as the sons of the couple across the street.
Russell Girl is executive produced by Brent Shields and co-executive produced by Stefanie Epstein. Jeff Bleckner is directing from an original script by Jill Blotevogel. The movie's airdate has yet to be determined.
