A few years back, I had an opportunity to shoot actual Super 16mm film for the first time. I had access to the Aaton A-Minima Camera. It’s a small camera that takes 200 foot rolls of film stock which comes out to roughly 4 minutes of footage per roll. A company that sold film stock at the time was having a fire sale on A-Minima stock so I had just enough money to buy a few rolls and pay for processing. This was before HD, so film labs would transfer the developed film to Digibeta where it would later be digitized and imported into an editing program like Final Cut.
