Longtime Disney executive Charlie Nelson has been named executive vp publicity at Grace Hill Media, where he will be responsible for creating and executing publicity strategies as well as handling all corporate communications. In his 17 years at Disney, Nelson oversaw campaigns for such films as The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and he and his creative team won the Publicist Guild's Maxwell Weinberg Showmanship Award several times.
