Once upon a time before she married a prince, Meghan Markle was a working actor who starred in the legal drama Suits. The now-duchess played Rachel Zane on the series from 2011 to 2018. Meghan left the show before her royal wedding to Prince Harry, an affair that her Suits co-stars attended.
The show had a resurgence in 2023 when it became available on the streaming platforms Netflix and Peacock. And now, there’s even a new reboot in the works titled Suits: LA. Because of that, there’s been speculation about whether Harry’s wife or any of her castmates will make a cameo in the new series. Meghan’s former co-stars haven’t had any contact with her though, and one even admitted he’s “scared” to talk to her now. Here’s more on that.

Grey’s Anatomy was once one of television’s hottest shows, attracting a dedicated and loyal fanbase. NCIS star Michael Weatherly considered himself a part of Anatomy’s large audience. But Weatherly was soon turned off by the show, feeling that the series fumbled its story with one major character.

As much as Weatherly might’ve enjoyed Grey’s Anatomy, the show perhaps made him appreciate NCIS more than he already did. NCIS had a reliable formula that kept viewers tuning into the show. But that didn’t mean it was afraid to shake up its narrative every once in a while. Earlier in the series, Weatherly couldn’t help be excited at the thought of NCIS venturing into newer, surprising directions.

Before Meghan Markle married Prince Harry, she played Rachel Zane on the legal drama Suits. The cable TV show aired from 2011 to 2019. Four years after its series finale, Suits became the surprise hit of the summer thanks to its resurgence on the streaming platforms Netflix and Peacock. The show, which began streaming in June 2023, clocked 3 billion viewing minutes in one week between the two platforms. And by July, Suits set a new record as the most-viewed acquired streaming title.
Now many are wondering how much the Duchess of Sussex is banking in residual checks. Here’s more on that and the shoutout Meghan just received from one of her former co-stars.

In an ironic twist, all seasons of Meghan Markle‘s former television series, Suits, hit Netflix the same day as the first Trooping the Color to honor King Charles. This was the first year Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, did not attend the monarch’s yearly birthday celebration, held this year on June 17.

The Bear is adding another top-notch star to its ranks as Bob Odenkirk reportedly joins the Season 2 cast of FX‘s Hulu hit. That’s right, the actor is heading back to Chicago where he got his early start through stand-up, but this time around, it’s a little more culinary. Opting for Italian Beef over Better Call Saul‘s Cinnabon creations, Odenkirk will serve in a guest role, according to Variety, who announced the news. (Credit: Frank Ockenfels/FX) That means fans will get to see the Saul vet alongside the talented cast of the streaming hit, including Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Lionel Boyce, Matty Matheson, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Edwin Lee Gibson among others. For the viewers who didn’t tune into the summer 2022 hit, The Bear follows the story of White’s Carmy Berzatto, a highly-trained chef who returns home to Chicago after his brother unexpectedly dies.

Big Sky: Deadly Trails – ABCÕs ÒBig Sky: Deadly TrailsÓ stars Reba McEntire as Sunny Barnes. (ABC/Frank Ockenfels) Along with getting a new subtitle (Deadly Trails), Big Sky also got a cast overhaul in its third season. One of the new faces joining the show belongs to country singing legend Reba McEntire. Of course, she’s also built up a nice little résumé as an actress, appearing in half a dozen movies, taking voiceover roles in four others, and several TV shows, including her starring role in Reba for six seasons. When she was approached about joining Big Sky, a crime drama, she was immediately intrigued, she said, because it would give her an opportunity to play a type of character she’s never played before. During an exclusive interview with Et on Tuesday, the 30-year-old actor revealed what it was like taking on the lead role of Kai Anderson in Ahs: Cult and how he felt about that shocking season finale.
Over the course of seven seasons, Peters has been cast in a number of villainous roles, like Tate Langdon in Murder House, Jimmy Darling in Freak Show and James March in Hotel. I have some friends that saw The Blair Witch Project every third or fourth day during its impressive theatrical run and while repetitive viewing isn’t that uncommon, horror movies don’t generally move people to that sort of fanaticism. They kept going, and kept roping people into the endeavor, because they found it be among the funniest films ever made. More than just the film itself (after all, once on home video I don’t think any of them have watched it again), experiencing the film along with people who actually acted scared because a pack of morons got lost in the woods was unendingly entertaining.
American Horror Story has long since moved into this realm, and despite the curiosity of the show’s ratings, each new season feels a lot more like watching the behind-the-scenes bonus feature than watching anything that is actually a show itself. Just for clarity,...

New key art from AMC’s upcoming seventh season of The Walking Dead is here and it’s as Negan-centric as you’d expect. With only a few weeks remaining until the premiere, Twd is really hammering home how big of deal Negan will be. This is no fly-by-night antagonist like the Terminus or the Wolves (though I’d still love to catch back up with the latter). Instead, the show seems to be pivoting into a new era. One where sides are chosen and long-term character arcs are possible for those outside The Group. Or, as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) says in the new art: Photo Credit: Frank Ockenfels/AMC AMC also put out a new cut of footage that features the other side of this new world. There’s a good mix of independent originals and blockbuster remakes/sequels this month to satisfy young and old. How they’re all going to fend for screens I’m not sure—Finding Dory may finally have to bid us adieu until its home video release in October. So if you haven’t seen it or Star Trek Beyond, go quick. Suicide Squad (August 5) is going to be taking over very soon and I don’t think Batman v Superman‘s relative “failure” will affect its own longevity.

“Don’t Judge a Book by Its Cover” is a proverb whose simple existence proves the fact impressionable souls will do so without fail. This monthly column focuses on the film industry’s willingness to capitalize on this truth, releasing one-sheets to serve as not representations of what audiences are to expect, but as propaganda to fill seats. Oftentimes they fail miserably.
This month is the epitome of summer blockbuster season with a couple kids films, a couple attempts at old school epics, some comedies, some actioners, and a sparse few adult-oriented indies to provide a well-needed counter to the explosions and slapstick. We’re still inundated with sequels (four on this post alone) and reboots (two), but as long as we buy tickets they’ll continue coming — louder, brighter, and vapid.
So let’s try and give some love to the smaller films. Take the kids to a matinee...

Welcome to June: The Summer Month of Sequels with five such examples ranging from, “That could be cool” to “Who even wants that?” There are a couple studio pictures with a modicum of interest attached worming their way in and A24 is thankfully bringing out two of its latest to help us cope.

Well, it had to end sometime. After weeks of pretending she was nothing more than a mild-mannered housewife in sensible slacks, Carol "I used to make miracles happen with water chestnuts" Peletier finally had to drop the ruse and once again assume her rightful mantel of badassery on "The Walking Dead." It's just a shame it took watching one of her frenemies get hacked to death with a machete to do it.
Yes, Shelly, cigarettes really will kill you, as the unfortunate Alexandrian learned when she went out for a smoke and was suddenly and viciously attacked by an invading Wolf. Truth.org couldn't have written a grimmer anti-smoking ad. Earlier, Carol had chided Shelly about her "disgusting habit," noting that there were already enough things out in the world trying to kill them. And then, those things showed up in the form of a giant pack of Wolves.

It's been said time and time again about the characters on "The Walking Dead": No one is safe. And while that's still technically true, executive producer Robert Kirkman has admitted that there's one notable exception.
While appearing at a "Walking Dead" panel at New York Comic Con last weekend, Kirkman told the crowd that he purposefully changed Carol's (Melissa McBride) character from the comics, transforming her from meek abuse victim on the page to the badass survivalist who can blow up an entire town without breaking a sweat that we know onscreen. That was a conscious decision, Kirkman explained, and he's hesitant to kill her off (for now, anyway) as a result of that significant change.
"The Carol that's in the comic was my attempt to show just how broken an individual can become from the zombie apocalypse," Kirkman told the Nycc crowd. "The Carol in the show, which...

Fox has renewed freshman comedy "The Last Man on Earth" for a second season, the network announced Wednesday.
The midseason series, starring "Saturday Night Live" alum Will Forte as the titular lone human (or so he thinks), has struck a chord with critics and audiences alike, and Fox is cashing in on that cultural cachet.
"We knew we had something special with 'The Last Man on Earth.' It's one of those rare shows that continues to add depth and dimension to its unique premise, week after week," said David Madden, Fox Broadcasting Company's Entertainment President, in a statement. "We are so thrilled that this incredibly bold, original and inventive series has been embraced by both fans and critics, and we cannot wait to see where the creative genius and inspired vision of Will, Phil and Chris take us in season two."

A new teaser for the second part of "Mad Men"'s seventh and final season is here, and it looks like Don Draper and co. are in for plenty of hookups and hangovers in the final stretch of episodes.
As is usual for the secretive series, the promo is short on plot, but chock full of funky fashion and lots of furtive glances between our characters. Pete and Peggy share a moment at a party, while Don and Megan appear to still be on different wavelengths; there's also split screen shots of Betty and Sally, and one of Joan and the men of the Sterling Cooper & Partners office, including a singled out Roger.
What does all this mean for the last few episodes of the show, though? It seems we're being pointed into expecting resolutions between these characters, including the likely (official) end of Don and Megan's marriage, Betty and Sally finally communicating,...

We’re less than two weeks away from seeing where Rick Grimes and company go after their heart-wrenching visit to Grady Memorial Hospital. The first half of The Walking Dead Season 5 was a tough one for the group, as they faced and evaded herds of walkers while also taking on cannibalistic humans, and their expressions in a batch of new cast portraits reflect their battle-hardened emotional states.
“After the tragic events of the mid-season finale – as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, DC – Rick Grimes’ band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day-to-day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp onto what little they have left.

Check out new artwork for the musical below When asked about working with Chita Rivera to shoot the image, photographer Frank Ockenfels told Nyt 'She's a grand dame. There are not a lot people left like her. She was so present and giving. There was no, We're done. She said, Is there more I can do Sometimes with someone of her age, they are conscious of being overlit. But she was more about what makes sense for the photograph, which is tremendously helpful. It was amazing to see her work with other actors and how she moved gracefully and beautifully. She had to step up on a piece of steel and she got up and there were no complaints. She moves around like a 20-year-old.'...

Backstrom Review
Fox has a daring bet it’s making on Backstrom, and though we might not like to admit to the pigeonholing it entails, a lot of people are going to have to take Rainn Wilson in exactly the right way for the show to take off. We’ll have to hope it works out, because this is the coolest show in a long time, and Wilson is perfect.
The trick here is that the show may need the help of Rainn Wilson as draw, but that audience also has to be able to distance themselves from Dwight Schrute. Wilson has obviously been around, but to a large percentage of people he is either no one, or Dwight, and you aren’t getting anything like Dwight here.
Backstrom, for the sake of brevity, is a kind of slovenly, “Seinfeld generation” Sherlock Holmes. He’s quick with a quip, and...

The fifth season of "The Walking Dead" has already featured plenty of chaos, what with the destruction of the Terminus settlement in the season premiere, the slaughter of the cannibals, and the kidnapping of Beth and Carol. But according to executive producer Robert Kirkman, there's much more in store for the upcoming midseason finale -- including lots of death.
Kirkman revealed that teaser in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, noting that a showdown between Daryl and Rick's crew and the hospital staff holding Carol and Beth hostage is imminent -- and may not end well for some beloved characters.
"This confrontation is definitely going to be substantially different from the confrontation with The Governor (David Morrissey) or Gareth (Andrew J. West)," Kirkman told THR. "We do continue to evolve these human-to-human conflicts in very interesting ways, and this is no different. There are going to be some pretty unexpected events in our midseason finale,...

This week's episode of "The Walking Dead," "Consumed," made the most of that imagery-evoking title, sprinkling smoke and fire throughout the hour in an effort to illustrate the characters' - namely Carol's - rebirth. But the episode wasn't quite content with the "show, don't tell" school of thought, offering multiple scenes of Daryl and Carol arguing about how much they may or may not have changed, a gimmick that had varying degrees of success.
Much like the first couple episodes of season five, "Consumed" was, well, consumed with exposition, some of it necessary (revealing what Carol was up to after she was banished from the prison settlement by Rick), some of it redundant (circular conversations with Daryl in which she insisted that he didn't really know her, while also laying bare all her baggage about trying to become a different person). "Breaking Bad" doesn't exactly scream "kid-friendly," but does the AMC drug drama deserve its merch pulled from stores as a result? One Florida mother thinks so, and has started a Change.org petition to get Toys "R" Us to remove Walter White action figures from its shelves.
In the petition, Susan Myers from Fort Myers, Florida writes that the toy store chain's "decision to sell a Breaking Bad doll, complete with a detachable sack of cash and a bag of meth, alongside children's toys is a dangerous deviation from their family friendly values."
"Parents and grandparents around the world shop at Toys R Us, online and in stories, with their children and should not be forced to explain why a certain toy comes with a bag of highly dangerous and illegal drugs or why someone who sells those drugs deserves to be made into an action figure," the petition continued.
