- Phil Ohman was born on October 7, 1896 in New Britain, Connecticut, USA. He was a composer and actor, known for Mr. Nobody (2009), Captain Caution (1940) and Hands Across the Border (1944). He died on August 8, 1954 in Santa Monica, California, USA.
- Pianist and initially co-leader with Victor Arden of a dance orchestra. Ohman and Arden also worked together as a piano duo on radio and in Broadway shows. When they split up in the mid-1930's, Ohman formed his own band on the West Coast. He enjoyed a lengthy residency at the Mocambo club, fashionable with the Hollywood set, and devoted much of his time to writing music for films. He continued to lead his band until the early 1950's.
