- Tony Page began his movie career in 1970 landing his first supporting role as Tommy Trafler in the independent film, Rebel (1973) (aka Rebel) alongside Sylvester Stallone's first feature. Tony then managed to get his Screen Actors Guild (SAG) card thanks to the help of the late Michael V. Gazzo, most famous for The Godfather Part II (1974), with whom he did theater work in New York, and later starred in the same film with him, Hoodlums (1980). The two were real life friends.
Tony Page struck gold landing his first all time classic film, Prince of the City (1981), where Tony Page hand picked the role of Raff Alvarez, as Director Sidney Lumet allowed the auditioning actors to choose which characters they felt most comfortable with. This would give Page his push to work with Director Larry Cohen as the Gangster Webb in the Horror/Thriller, Q: The Winged Serpent (1982).
Soon after his two successful motion pictures that hit theaters worldwide, Page developed cirrhosis of the liver after years of heavy drinking and sadly passed away on January 31st, 1983.
