Exclusive: Seth Brodie, Chief Financial Officer at Anonymous Content, is leaving the company.
Deadline understands that Brodie’s departure is amicable. No word on his next move.
The departure comes as Anonymous Content has been searching for nearly a year for a new CEO following the surprising resignation of Dawn Olmstead and COO Heather McCauley from the company. Sources close to the company told Deadline that it is in the final stages of the search.
The duo resigned in March. Olmstead resurfaced in December, teaming up with Charlize Theron and her Denver & Delilah partners Beth Kono and Aj Dix to launch a new venture.
Brodie joined Anonymous Content in 2021. Before that, he was SVP of finance and strategy at Legendary Entertainment, having joined that company from DreamWorks Studios, where he was VP for finance and strategic planning.

“Prison Break” is getting another sentence, as a new series set in the world of the beloved Fox drama is being developed by Hulu, Variety has confirmed.
“Mayans M.C.” co-creator and showrunner Elgin James is writing the show, which is in early stages of development, via his Sierra Drive banner. The new installment, via 20th Television, is not expected to feature the characters at the center of the original jailhouse drama, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).
James executive produces alongside Dawn Olmstead, “Prison Break” creator Paul Scheuring, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz. In addition to the “Sons of Anarchy” spinoff “Mayans,” James also co-created with Stephen Merchant the Amazon Studios/BBC One series “The Outlaws,” starring Christopher Walken.

Exclusive: After months of rumors and a three month exclusive negotiating period, Anonymous Content is now near a deal to acquire the prolific production company Automatik. There’s a twist here: Deadline reported that Anonymous was in talks for Grandview/Automatik. But The Dish hears that Grandview won’t be part of the transaction and will remain a freestanding rep company.
Deal will close early next year, sources said. The separation of Grandview and Automatik is amicable, we’re told. In fact, they just had a rather pleasant holiday party.
Anonymous, run by CEO Dawn Olmstead, had been having conversations with the twinned entities since last spring. Details will emerge after the holidays, and Anonymous Content, Automatik and Grandview declined comment.
Grandview will continue as a separate entity. Company has 20 managers who work with more than 500 clients including Joe Kosinski, Ryan Condal, Justin Simien, Dan Trachtenberg, Hiro Murai, Molly Smith Metzler,...

If you’re like me, your enjoyment of Alfred Hithcock extends well beyond his classic films. Some of my favorite memories are watching the TV series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, which, not unlike Twilight Zone, was an anthology series. The difference between the two lay in the genre itself. While Twilight Zone was largely science fiction-based, Alfred Hitchcock Presents was standard mystery — oftentimes with elements of other genres interspersed. In true M. Night Shyamalan fashion, however, each episode would end with an ironic little twist. Occasionally, they’d cause a huge shift in how your perceived the rest of the plot, but most times, they were fun little buttons.
Nowadays, we seem to be coming around to these types of stories, with American Horror Story and Black Mirror perhaps being the best modern examples — and now we may have one more to the slate. Universal Cable Productions is developing a new anthology entitled Welcome to Hitchcock.

Poor Michael! He's been rotting in a faraway prison for a very long time.
Everyone thought he was dead, but somehow T-Bag discovered he was alive. Of all people, it's T-Bag to the rescue!
That's not something we ever thought would get the ball rolling, but we'll take the win!
This universal tale of family and love is coming back to Fox midseason 2017.
Producer Dawn Olmstead promises all the characters we grew to love when the series first aired will be back to help Michael and Lincoln escape.
Because it's going to be more than just a prison escape. From all appearances, it's going to be crazy.
First, though, the news gets delivered to Sara, who has been raising Michael's son alone.
Although she finds it hard to believe, just like Lincoln, the proof is in the photograph. Grainy, but unmistakable.
Michael is alive and in prison...in Yemen? That's...

While the Fox drama Prison Break centred on two brothers and their time spent attempting to escape various kinds of incarceration, the character of Dr Sara Tancredi was always a vital part of that equation. In a show drenched in testosterone, she brought a little balance to the proceedings – not least because she was very well written, and very well performed. It is great news, then, that the actress behind the character, Sarah Wayne Callies, is confirmed as returning for the forthcoming Prison Break sequel series – otherwise known as Prison Break, season five.
Dr. Tancredi first appeared in the pilot episode in 2005, as the prison physician at Fox River State Penitentiary. She crosses paths with one Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) when he gets himself incarcerated for the express purpose of breaking his brother, Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell) out of jail. Burrows is on death row, having been framed for a politically motivated murder,...

Can't get enough Wentworth Miller from your standard television diet? Well fret not! In addition to the upcoming series, "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," Fox has now confirmed that they are hard at work at a "Prison Break" reboot event series. Very much in the vein of 2014's "24: Live Another Day," the word "event" seems to indicate a one-time return to a much-beloved series.
For those unfamiliar to the original mid-2000s series, "Prison Break" followed Wentworth Miller's character Michael Scofield, who purposely got himself sent to prison in order to free his wrongfully-accused brother. The series lasted four seasons, and was a perfect companion piece to "24," and it was one of the early examples of American serialized TV before it completely dominated in more recent years.
So far, the details as to what the plot of the series will entail are limited, but according the press release, the juicy details will follow soon.

Fox is looking to the past to form their future. After years of rumors, the network confirmed the return of "Prison Break" and a spinoff of "24." The escapist series from 2005 earned a series order, while "24: Legacy" was given just a pilot commitment. The original producing team behind the critical and ratings hit, "Prison Break," are set to return for the new entry. Paul T. Scheuring, Neal Moritz, Marty Adelstein and Dawn Olmstead will join stars Miller and Purcell for the new season. Stephen Hopkins, who directed a handful of original "24" episodes, will direct the pilot. "24: Legacy" is not expected to involve franchise star Kiefer Sutherland. His name was not mentioned in the announcement, as a possible actor or even as a producer. Instead, the spinoff pilot will "revolve around a military hero's return to the U.S. and the trouble that follows him back — compelling him to ask...

ABC‘s The Whispers feels more like something that should pop up on Syfy, and while that isn’t at all a bad thing in general, it also feels like the kind of show developed around the brainstorm-session telling of its opening ten minutes.
“Here’s a creepy scenario,” someone says, and the response is to tell him to just keep going.
As is becoming all too common, the story is written largely paying attention only to the tenets that – A) if it’s really goofy, but everyone is very serious, it’s really good – B) bullet points are all you need in our era of short attention spans.
Point A is basically the simple result of people wanting to get a lot of sci-fi on the air, even when they don’t understand why people like sci-fi. They don’t get why things work, or don’t, but they know Lost was popular.

Fresh off the news that The Magicians will go into production, Syfy now decides that it’s time to take on one of the godfathers of all sci-fi, Brave New World.
While some might wonder how that’s going to go, and if it’s actually a spectacular idea, adding Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television to the mix should put off some of the fears associated with the obvious dangers of potentially butchering one of the best books ever.
Given the slate of shows Syfy already has, and the upcoming efforts we’ve learned about recently, the network is looking to be in a very different place a year from now.
