Lee Broughton returns with a review of Michele Lupo’s fine-looking Spaghetti Western, Arizona Colt. Giuliano Gemma stars as the eponymous anti-hero-cum-bounty killer who goes head-to-head with Fernando Sancho’s villainous Mexican bandit. The show’s collateral damage comes in the shapely form of fan favourite Rosalba Neri while its highly reluctant love interest is played by none other than Corinne Marchand, of Cleo from 5 to 7 fame.

One of the bizarrest horror films to come out of Italy in the early 80s, Zombi Holocaust is – as the title suggests – a mix of the two genres Italian horror cinema became predminantly known for: cannibal and zombie movies…
For those unaware of Zombi Holocaust, the film finds Ian McCulloch (who found fame in Italy following his appearance in British sci-fi show Survivors) venture to a tropical island in the East Indies to investigate just why a tribesman, working at New York City hospital was chomping down on the limbs of the cadavers in the cold storage. He and his crew, including Alexandra Delli Colli (who would later star in Lucio Fulci’s controversial New York Ripper...

There’s just something sticky and icky about Lucio Fulci’s 1981 gorefest in Zombie, which is loosely a follow-up to the events in Dawn of the Dead. The gore is outrageous. The zombies are nasty decaying corpses. The women have nice boobs and big bushes, and of course: there’s a sequence that pits a zombie against a shark!
And, finally, Blue Underground is bringing this bad mama-jama to HD for the first time ever on October 25th.
Here’s the details:
In Italy, it was considered the ‘unofficial sequel’ to Dawn Of The Dead. In England, it was known as Zombie Flesh Eaters and banned as obscene. In America, it was called Zombie and advertised with the depraved tag line “We Are Going To Eat You!” Tisa Farrow (The Grim Reaper), Ian McCulloch (Contamination), Al Cliver (Cannibals), and Richard Johnson (The Haunting) star in this worldwide splatter sensation directed...
