Who says cable conglomerates are out of touch? Cable giant Comcast is debuting three exclusive digital series on its Watchable streaming video service on Tuesday, from Refinery29, Latin-focused mitú and Cut.com. Later in 2016, Watchable will premiere six more new exclusives, including shows from BuzzFeed Motion Pictures and CollegeHumor, as well as Studio71’s “Logan Paul vs.,” which follows the affable, ambitious Vine star as he does things like wrestling a bear and riding a bull. It’s all part of Comcast’s efforts to reach an audience that isn’t necessarily receptive to whatever a cable company might be selling: Millennials,...

There’s a fun new trend that involves running in patterns shaped like objects, and Old Spice, which always seems to keep tabs on the Internet’s latest fads, has invited YouTube stars and their fans to join the fun. It enlisted the Rooster Teeth, Smosh Games, Logan Paul, Kevin La Sean, and several other digital influencers to promote its Dream Runner campaign, which offers prizes to joggers who shape their routes as specific items.
Athletic sorts can get in on the Dream Runner fun by accessing a website set up by Old Spice from a mobile device. YouTuber Roman Atwood’s latest video is part prank, part branded content, and part environmental activism. The infamous prankster partnered with toilet paper brand Scott to promote its tubeless rolls, which the company has created to cut down on the 66,000 cardboard rolls that it says are wasted every two minutes.
The prank -- relatively tame compared past clips in which Atwood has pretended to murder his son -- consisted of Atwood picking up YouTuber friends Logan Paul, FouseyTUBE, and The Dudesons in a brand new BMW i8. He pretends to have trouble with the car, before plowing it through a garage where 66,000 toilet paper rolls rain down on the vehicle from above.
Scott says the video aims to bring the environmental impact of those tubes to life “in a jarring way.”

In February, the first four YouTube Red originals arrived, giving subscribers to YouTube’s ad-free subscription service access to exclusive content from the site’s biggest stars. Now, as March draws to a close, two more YouTube Red originals are available. Users who pay for a $9.99-per-month subscription can view Prank Academy, led by PrankVsPrank, and Foursome, starring Jenn McAllister and Logan Paul.
Prank Academy, which was revealed as a YouTube Red original back when the service first launched, is also one of the YouTube-funded series announced in April 2015. It stars Jesse and Jeana, the couple behind the PrankVsPrank YouTube channel (which has close to ten million subscribers), as they stage some of the biggest stunts of their digital media career. One month after premiering its inaguural fleet of original shows, YouTube Red is maintaining a speedy momentum.
The first new series from its second wave of original content offerings -- a half-hour comedy entitled Foursome starring Jenn McAllister and Logan Paul -- will premiere on March 30. While squarely aimed at teens, the six-episode series from AwesomenessTV has a decidedly racy vibe -- at least as evidenced by its sex-centric teaser trailer released today.
While Dance Camp, YouTube Red’s first original feature film from AwesomenessTV, looked to be a rather wholesome love story that blossoms at -- where else? -- a summer dance camp, in Foursome, McAllister is desperate to hook up. However, she’s blocked at every turn by her overprotective older brother, played by Paul. “Bros before hos, except I’ll never be a ho because of my bro,” McAllister deadpans in the trailer. “I’m gonna die a virgin.

Dunkin Donuts is running its first partnership with an online video star, and it has turned to Viner Logan Paul as its influencer of choice. Paul, who has 8.8 million followers on Twitter’s six-second video capture app, has created Vines and Instagram photos in support of the international breakfast chain.
The deal, which was set up by Collective Digital Studio and ad agency Hill Holliday, is centered around Dunkin’s Dd Perks service and its mobile app, which was most recently updated in October 2015. I’ve embedded one of the Vines born from the partnership below; the photo above comes from Paul’s Instagram.
Paul’s fans can also connect with him by ordering new gift cards that have his face emblazoned on them. The cards are pretty snazzy, and they make this promotion a little more than your typical brand-influencer partnership.

The truth campaign is dedicated to ending smoking among teenagers, and in 2015, connecting with teenagers requires a working knowledge of Internet culture. For that reason, truth has recently launched several videos centered around online video stars and image macros, and its latest series is no different. It has launched the #BigTobaccoBeLike campaign, in which Vine stars imagine the ways the tobacco industry celebrates its massive profits.
The first #BigTobaccoBeLike ad features Viner Jerry Purpdrank, who has more than 8.6 million followers on Twitter’s six-second video platform. In the first half of the video, Purpdrank gives an excuse for “social smoking,” saying “it’s strawberry flavor, bro.” He then cuts to his impression of a tobacco executive, who is making it rain. The point is a simple one: No matter why you smoke, Big Tobacco gets paid.
Several more #BigTobaccoBeLike spots, starring Viners like Logan Paul, AlliCattt, and Christian DelGrosso, are also part of the campaign.

Collective Digital Studio Adds YouTube Stars FouseyTUBE, Paint, Whatever, Four Others To Its Network

FouseyTUBE's 4.8 million subscribers make him one of YouTube's most popular pranksters, and he recently showed he also has a big heart when he reached out to a young, cancer-stricken fan. Whatever, a fellow prank channel run by a practical joker named Brian, has 2.6 million subscribers. Paint, the home of inventive musician Jon Cozart, updates infrequently, but Cozart's new releases usually draw millions of views. His most famous video, "After Ever After," has more than 46 million hits.

A notable Jukin Media exec is moving on. Andrew Barrett, who served as the viral video-focused media company's Director of Marketing, has become Cinedigm's Director of Digital Marketing and Strategy. Barrett helped grow Jukin into a trusted source for user-generated content; the company licenses out its library of more than 13,000 video clips to dozens of media partners. Barrett also assisted the development of Jukin's multi-channel network, whose partners include FailArmy, Logan Paul, and BatDad. “My time at Jukin afforded me the experience and relationships to build brands in the online video space," said Barrett in a release, "and I’m excited to be able to take the expertise gained with short-form Ugc and apply it to Cinedigm's more ambitious original, long form content." At Cinedigm, which distributes its own library of films and TV shows to movie theaters and digital outlets, Barrett will be responsible for paid digital advertising and social campaigns.

Jukin Media has closed its first ever funding round. The media company that specializes in short, user-generated clips has raised $1 million, with investors including Maker Studios, Bertelsmann, and Launchpad La. Jukin licenses its collection of videos to traditional media companies, where they are often used in clip shows. The company also runs a "boutique" multi-channel network whose partners include Vine stars like BatDad and Logan Paul. Jukin Media and Maker Studios previously struck a deal that brought the former company's clip library to the latter's network. This investment extends their relationship, as Jukin will use the funding "bolster their technology and infrastructure and to help scale their operations," according to a press release. “Demand was significant for this round, and we limited it to a small group of key investors we thought would be able to help drive our core initiatives. Although we are profitable and did not need to raise money,...

The two-year old Jukin Video platform is going through a period of rapid growth, and the team behind it has responded by adding two new executives. Jukin Media has tapped Lee Essner as its new President and COO and has also named ex-AwesomenessTV exec Jeff Levin as its new Director of Talent. Essner previous served as a Jukin Media advisor, and his new position extends his previous role to a full-time gig. “Lee has been a tremendous asset as an advisor,” said Jukin Media Founder and CEO Jonathan Skogmo. “Taking on this expanded role is a natural way to further leverage his background and experience in helping to build and grow digital and tech companies.” Essner has over 20 years of executive experience, and himself founded AccessDNA, a health and medical blog. He previously served as the COO at WeddingChannel.com. As for Levin, the former AwesomenessTV exec will work closely...

A new multi-channel network is attempting to succeed by catering to an alternative clientele and offering unique solutions to its clients. Jukin Media, the company behind user-friendly online video platform Jukin Video, has launched an McN that is initially targeting Vine stars. Jukin Video's specialty is viral videos, so it comes as no surprise that the new McN is targeting Vine, a platform replete with bite-sized, user-generated viral hits. The first two partners in the network are BatDad and Logan Paul, who both discovered their initial audience through Twitter's six-second capture app and are now trying to build similarly large audiences on YouTube. Jukin isn't the first company to offer YouTube assistance to Vine stars (Collab comes to mind as another notable example) but it hopes to succeed by offering unique services to its partners. Jukin Media is the latest example of a 'boutique McN' that eschews a huge roster...

In case you missed it last week, Logan Paul burst onto the internet scene when a compilation of his rather hilarious Vines went viral -- take three minutes and watch it in the above video, it's pretty awesome.
"Today" welcomed Paul on Monday (Nov. 18), letting him take over the show's Vine account. The "Today" twitter account writes, "Vine master @LoganAPaul is taking over the Today Vine account this morning. Keep an eye out for his fun vines!"
Below are a few he has posted. Paul tweeted last night, "Me? The Today Show? Tomorrow morning between 7:30 and 8:30? How do they expect me to sleep tonight" and this morning, his mom adorably posted this: "thank you to the Today Show for having Logan on your show. Love, Logan's Mom."...
