Cecilie B. Peterson(1891-1989)

Cecilie B. Peterson was born in Norway in 1891. She immigrated with her
parents and two sisters to the United States in 1899. The family lived
in Brooklyn, New York.
After her brief career writing for silent movies, she married Harold C. Brown and eventually gave birth to three sons. Harold died when the three boys were quite young, leaving Cecilie to raise the boys on her own, into and through the Great Depression near Concord, New Hampshire.
Cecilie eventually settled in Sparta, New Jersey until retirement. After two of her sons retired from the military and moved to the Seattle area, she decided to follow them. She lived in Bellevue, Washington in a small apartment for about 20 years and passed away at age 97 in 1989.
