- Britta Phillips wanted to pursue a career in music and decided to move to New York City when she was 19. Her dad did jingles in New York, and through his connections, she was able to audition for the cartoon series JEM, and was hired to sing the lead voice of JEM. The series ran from 1985 - 1988, and towards the end of JEM, Britta landed her first movie role in Satisfaction, and was still flying to Atlanta during filming to record the last few songs for JEM.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Mark R.
- Britta became the bass player for NYC band, LUNA, in 2000. Britta and LUNA founder, Dean Wareham, released a record together in 2003 entitled, "L'Avventura," produced by Tony Visconti (Bowie, T. Rex). This was followed by"Back Numbers" in 2007, also produced by Visconti. The pair's last album began as a commission by the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh to write and perform live beneath 13 of Warhol's short films, shot between 1964 and 1966. Subjects include Dennis Hopper, Lou Reed, Edie Sedgewick and Nico. "13 Most Beautiful: Song for Andy Warhol's Screen Tests" was released as a CD and DVD in 2009.
